If a business doesn't want to serve you, then why in the world would you want their product? If a business doesn't want my money I will gladly spend it elsewhere.

Would you even buy a cake from a place you now dont want to serve you?

They might piss in it or worse.

It is and always has been a sexual preference. There is not a single genome study that has shown it to be genetic nor innate.

You are a moron to think that choosing to be a homo is in the same level as being black or american indian or hispanic.

Didn't say it was the same and you are wrong that it is not innate in some way....some of it is lifestyle choice...but the attraction to men is there even with a lifestyle choice.....its an innate attraction

I love it when you call me names by the way.....shows you're on the defensive.....its what you radical conservatives do when your whole world is destroyed ;)

Nitwit, what you feel is not the deciding factor here. Neither should the left's view of what is right or wrong the deciding factor. EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT BELIEFS. Your belief should not be imposed on anyone else and vice versa. If a christian SEES that there is everything wrong with providing the cake, HE SHOULDN'T BE FORCED TO DO SO. The homos can just as easily look for another baker that will give them the cake.

if you are in busines thenyou are there to serve all..bottom line..if you don't want to be in a business where you have to serve everyone simply close up shop and do something that does not require contact with the public....

Also there are a lot of hetrosexual pedophiles out there...we don't know who they are, YET....we serve them every single day in various businesses without thinking about it....why pick on gays?????????????

this is even from fox news :D

ERIC SHAWN: You know, the law was intended to protect personal religious liberties against government overreach and intrusion. So what happened?

BAIER: Well, Indiana’s law is written a little differently. It is more broad. It is different than the federal law that it’s close to, but different than, and also different than 19 other states and how the law is written. In specific terms, Indiana’s law deals with a person who can claim religious persecution but that includes corporations, for-profit entities and it could also be used as a defense in a civil suit that does not involve the government. That is broader than the other laws. This is where it’s a little different in Indiana’s case. You saw governor Mike Pence try to defend the law and say it’s just like the 1993 federal law where it’s just like 19 other states, but as you look in the fine print, it’s not really, and it may be something that Indiana deals with in specifics to line up with the others

yup, at first when BB was reporting this for hours other right wing talkers ignored this little fact. [ Hannity for one ]. then, when it finally got through the bubble that is fox news into the real world the argument shifted to ' its not as important as Iran yadda yadda yadda. Nice way to deflect but too late.  the GOP took their first hit of the 2016 election.

Even the Pope has come out in favor of gays, although not condoning their practices...if its ok with him it should be ok with his followers ;)

Why don't you try some honesty and answer his question?

It's still forcing religious people against their will.

The Federal law is not exactly the same is the one in Indiana,

Brief summary here - I'm not going to cut and paste because most on this board won't bother to read it either way

http://www.npr.org/blogs/itsallpolitics/2015/04/01/395613897/sorting-fact-from-fiction-from-politics-on-the-indiana-law

I have to assume the law in Indiana could also be used to legally discriminate against christians

what if a christian wants a cake for some religious celebration (maybe easter or a baptism or something).
couldn't an atheist or even someone of another religions can legally say that they don't agree with that person choice of religion or their choice of beliefs and find it conflicts with their religious beliefs and legally refuse service.

I'm sure if that every happened our paranoid fundies would be crying about religious persecution

Indiana amends religious freedom bill to put an end to discrimination

Source: The Guardian

Indiana’s legislature has passed a bill that would change the state’s controversial religious freedom law to clarify that it does not authorize businesses to discriminate against people.

The Republican proposal will now be sent for approval to governor Mike Pence, who has been subject to intense criticism since signing the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) into law last week. Lawmakers also worked with business leaders to craft the language, which was presented to the legislature on Thursday morning.

“We can unequivocally say that RFRA cannot be used to discriminate against anyone,” said house speaker Brian Bosma, a Republican.

Under the existing law, the state cannot create legislation that infringes on a person’s religious beliefs – with the definition of person extended to include businesses, associations and other organizations. Because the state does not consider the LGBT community a protected class, the bill was interpreted as a way for businesses and organizations to legally discriminate.

Don't they always  :D

now they can say (during primaries) that they supported it, to get the base vote.

now they can say (during general election) that they understood why they changed the bill, to get the moderate/swing vote.

Politics as usual.

being gay is not ALWAYS a sexual preference....a lot of times it is INNATE....most people can't help it.....they are what they are.....and why do you find homosexuality repugnant?....they only engage in the same practices that HETEROS do......again....what they do in teh bedroom is their business.....just accept them as people and don't think about the bedrom side of it.....

In the most basic way I can put it, there are a male and female of a species for a reason, to procreate. If everyone was gay there would exactly one generation. I don't give a shit what people do in their homes, I don't want to know about it. I don't want to know if they are gay or strait, it is irrelevant to my life. Don't push the fucking agenda on me and I won't ask questions about your personal life....... problem solved.

Walker: Critics Of Indiana Law Are Just 'Looking For Ways To Be Upset'

Source: TPM

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) characterized critics of Indiana's religious liberty law as chronic malcontents stirred up by "hype and hysteria" in the media, according to audio surfaced by Buzzfeed Thursday.

“I just think this is people who are chronically looking for ways to be upset about things instead of really looking at what it is," Walker said during an interview with Milwaukee-based radio host Charlie Sykes on Wednesday.

"I believe in protecting religious freedoms," he continued. "It’s inherent in our state’s constitution. Heck, it’s inherent in our U.S. Constitution. And again, in Wisconsin, we’ve done it and we’re stronger for it."

Walker made the remarks when asked whether he would have approved a religious-freedom bill like the one Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R) recently signed into law. “We don’t need to; in Wisconsin, we have it in the constitution," Walker responded again.

we agree then....but the people "pushing" the agenda on you are the GOP who should have just left things alone in the first place.....also the law is the height of hypocrisy in that there are so many HOMOSEXUAL priests!!!...as we've come to find out the hard way

Yes, let's all give in to middle age thinking despite scientific evidence and clear argument that gayness is nature not nurture.

It's also fucking absurd, why don't you stone those that work sunday, or wear two different fabrics? Time to grow up, discrimination is wrong, particularly when it is not a choice.

What right does a business have to a person's sexual preference? More stupid people making stupid decisions. It says in the bible don't like da gays, the other stuff we ignore though, it's my right! I am a certified moron. CHERRY PICKING your way to discrimination, great job!

Agreed..its still discrimination...and now the fact that the Republicans are backtracking and want to "fix" the law says it all.

Please provide said scientific evidence, even if that is the case, homesexuality is still an abnormality. It serves no purpose to further the species.

As far as the bible is concerned people need to understand the difference between the old testament and the new testament and what covenant applies to who.

Pence has been setting himself up for a VP slot for a while.  Excellent record.  he pulled this shit the wek of the Final Four on purpose to put himself in the front lights for a RINO nominee like Jeb.  He's no dummy.  this was a shrewd political move, and even maddow had to admit it.  The base, well, they BIT lol.  It worked perfectly.  The base reacted with their annual "chik Fila" actions, predictably.  They've paid $500,000 in donations to a shitty pizza joint whose owner kinda appears to be a dick lol.  These same folks donated to obama-voting, wifebeating zimmerman.  These same folks took selfies with chik fila sandwiches.  These same folks hugged 21 ounces of coca-cola to prove bloomberg can't hold them down.

They want to control something in their lives, to be relevant in a world where we just aren't lol.  They join onto a hateful movement and suddenly they're important, they control things, they're PART OF SEOMTHING BIG.  They love it.

Pence is smart.  Period.
