heres a fubby story,you guys remember oleg taktarov?he was a sambo dude with a solid chin,anyway,he was trying to get in ufc 2 and rorion said no for the reason of he knew oleg was a leg lock expert who could do damage to royce,everyone knows that bjj had a weakness and that was leg locks,these days all bjj schools teach leg locks but back then they frowned on them and didnt like them.oleg finally got his shot in the ufc but gracie jiu jitsu was already on the map and royce was the man so at that point it didnt matter if oleg came into the octagon.if you really think about it no one back then had a ground game in ufc except shammy.i got some more good stories about the old ufc,s and some of the recent ones also

heres a fubby one remember when chuck ko,d randleman afew years back?right after the ko kev jumps back up and starts going after big john cause he was in denial about the ko,coleman runs in the cage to grab kev and hold him and calm him down,while this is going on tito is next to chuck laughing out loud cause kev got ko,d and the next thing you know is kevin jackson,(olympic gold medalist in wrestling)im sure yous all remember him,starts to go towards tito in a aggressive way and before you know it jacksons being restrained by security.it was nuts.i was sitting about 10 rows back watching it,i ran into don frye walking through the casino doing alittle gambling and bullshitted with him for about 5 minutes or so,hes a really cool cat,he was big as hell also.saw coleman alot of times at the shows but hes always so drunk i dont even approach him,lol

The biggest thing I remember about Kevin Jackson is that he was on a good streak in the early days ; then he got HANDLED by mark Kerr in B'ham, AL in about 10-15 secs.

I saw that same show.  Some great KO footage.  Who was the bald guy with the giant traps that ko'd some poor bastard in the 1st round?  He was HUGE and looked totally juiced.  Did he ever fight again?

I think you mean Ron Waterman and yes he still fights all over. He fought in Pride in 03 aganist Crocop and was destroyed in the 1st round

wow, his record is really shit. Until 1999 he had a respectable W/L record but he lost his last 8 fights

My bad man all those big dudes look alike and have the same fighting style, that being said I would'nt want to fight none of them too damn big.

that fight is on the ufc tape(their can only be one)i think thats the title,it was when tito fought frank and tito was looking sharp until he gassed,its a pretty good tape,im gonna watch it tonight again cause that tito - frank fight was pretty intense
