Initially, Slager's attorney released a statement saying that Scott grabbed control of the officer's Taser during a struggle and that Slager fired because he feared for his life. The attorney says he is no longer representing the officer.

You know you're in the shit house when an attorney refuses to represent you any more.

yea looks like after he shot him, cuffed him, he ran back where he shot him from, picked up the tazer, and walked back to the body and dropped it next to him

The Lawyer probably sensed that the cop was being dishonest with him. The Cop is in major trouble.

I agree.  porky clearly walked back 25-30 yards, probably more exercise than he's gotten in years, picks up his own tazzer that he himself dropped, walked back to the dead guy and dropped the tazzer/gun.   That's called planting evidence.

Wow, the cop is a moron.

Erik, you can't excuse this. They could have easily apprehended the guy by following him with backup. Or they could have arrested him later. Yes, maybe it would have been difficult to find him but really, this cop just destroyed his life by getting involved in this and making a rash decision to shoot the guy in the back.

All cops should demand body cam and follow their own damn laws. This one bad apple will create more problems for cops. They really should wise up and not give the critics anymore fucking ammo.

In his first communication after the shooting.... the cop said "shots fired and the subject is down. He took my taser"

exactly...the guy was a fifty year old fat guy.....he looked like he was running in slow motion..he could have been run down and overpowered easily..and if he got away, so what???????????????

Good cops should welcome and insist on body cams so bad cops cannot do this shit anymore. There are more good cops than bad ones.

Just remember cops deal with criminals day in and day out and if they are not careful they get shot and killed themselves. In this video below the cop was too trusting and paid for it with his life.
