I did my warm ups for power cleans and jerks. 1x3 155, 1 x 3 160, 1 x3 165.  Then I loaded the bar for my first set and said to myself I'm not feeling it and left the gym. Drove to the liquor store and bought some beer.  Sometimes you have to know when rest is a better option.

I enjoy your honesty. You are absolutely right. There are times.... The good thing is you went to the gym and gave it a shot. Sometimes, that works and sometimes not.

yes it goes without saying experience is key... guys like you know the A to Z of Bodybuilding and what is correct and Bull. I never get any Young Guys coming in to be trained with cocky attitudes now. Most are happy to learn the correct way to Train without injuries.

I heard back from my doctor today regarding the MRI on my knee. It is a meniscal tear. The next step is to schedule an appointment with an orthopedic doctor to discuss my options (probably orthoscopic surgery).  My doctor confirmed that what I saw in the MRI was the tear. It looks pretty awesome. No wonder it hurts.

I worked chest today. I will post up my routine after working out tomorrow, so I can do two at a time. -Seems easier. I feel like I had a good workout though.

-Saw my urologist this morning. My labs are good. The PSA remains at .02 and the total testosterone has doubled to 401. I talked my doctor into allowing me to increase the dose from 200 mg every other week to 300 mg every other week. Many doctors believe your testosterone levels are fine if they are in a good range for your age. Since the older one get the lower their testosterone usually goes, this isn't a great gauge for someone who is trying to maintain the physique of a much younger person. When one is at their peak, their testosterone is usually around 1,000. I am shooting for something near this. Of course I will monitor myself for sides. My liver is solid and I have never experienced any problem with breast tissue in the past. I think my body is crying out for more test.  ;D I am sure you all know folks who abuse steroids including testosterone. Trust me, I am nowhere near the doses these folks invent for themselves. Plus, my doctor is legit and he wouldn't allow me to go overboard on his watch.

look after yourself Jay and i think an op is the last Option. If they do a small op like key hole surgery i had some years ago it heals up quick....

What I need to know is, how long before I can get back to heavy leg work? Steve and I are engaged in a contest and he's ahead right now and showing me no mercy. I cannot afford to lose ground here or I will never beat out his wheels!  ;D

Shucks, those wheels are looking great.

Just you wait, I am going to post a photo of my torn meniscus which will blow you out of the water.

well i had an op in 1999 because of this below. after surgery i did physio but to be honest Jay...go bike riding every day at least 30 mins. I was very active in Wado Ryu Karate then and had to stop it for a while. The Professor in the Hospital told me have you a bike ? i said yes...he said well then...cycle every day and slowly integrate some hills in there too. He was an old School sort of guy and was correct. I liked his straight talking way. It took about 6 weeks to really get a bit better but you can start leg press after 2-3 weeks. As for Karate....he told me it will take about 8 months too heal 100%..i tried to do Karate after 3 months and it hurt...well i guess thatīs why he was a Professor... ;D. Get on the leg press and Abduction/adduction machines...leg curls and extensions i would not do. Then again maybe you are diffrent to me. My cartilage was damaged. the vastis medialis and lateralis can be safer trained after an op.

Steve,

That was a joke. Here's the thing, I posted that having a torn meniscus my leg routine could be compromised for awhile. Your response was to post a photo of your amazing wheels.

If you thought I meant to criticize your build, that wasn't it at all. I was thinking more along the lines of my being cynical in response to your photo post.

Don't be too sensitive....like I am sometimes.
