Jay,steve.. great to see you are getting your workouts in. A few exercises and stretches will keep you limber.

I woke up sore. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, although my workout was beyond conservative when it came to the added resistance. When one slacks off for as long as I have, they should expect to feel a wee bit sore after their first workout in a longtime. Actually the soreness makes me feel good, it brings back memories of earlier times and reminds me that I did something as opposed to nothing. I was a bit concerned that my sciatica was somewhat aggravated....I'll work though this though.

I am no computer wiz, but this is one of those times when I wish I lived closer to you. My instincts and computer experience suggests that this is just an easily worked through glitch. I would like nothing better than to fix it for you, but to do that I would have to be there fooling around with your laptop.
I appreciate the kind thoughts and I am glad to hear that you think it's a glitch. I still haven't had it seen to by anybody locally as I am paranoid it will come back to me with something else wrong. I need to suss out someone good to fix it. I will start asking people after Easter. Training is going okay. I have had a couple of very busy weekends. Kiss concert was incredible and the icing on the cake was when a roadie handed me a guitar pick with Paul Stanley's autograph on the back. The ink was still wet. Its taken me 33 years to get an autograph from a kiss member. Today was my 5 month check up from the surgeon. He was happy with my nose and said its very clean and my ears are perfect. I had them looked at as well. He took pics and compared them to last time and we can see that the bridge is slimmer. I have noticed that when I do cardio or weights that I am not getting anywhere near as much swelling as I used to. Here's a pic, won't be posting anymore until october which will mark one year for my op.

decided to train shoulders today:
Cycling to warm up with Abs, hanging knee raises 3xmax superset with crunches 3x max.

Superset:
seated side lateral 3x10
seated DB press 3x10

Superset:
standing front Barbell raises 3x10
bent over Barbell raises 3xmax (very hard exercise and i used an empty olympic Bar so i did not cheat)

Barbell rear shrugs 3x15
Barbell front raises could also be supersetted with shrugs as you get traps in there too..

back tonite getting back took it easy repped but moved some weight

reverse hammer pulldown did 45 per side, then 2 sets 45 and 25 ,then did 45 25 plus 10,,,usually use 2 45's per side plus change so kinda there
still tough to pull down with heavier weight'shoulder and blade feels tight not fully extended'
did low rows x4 for me low weight but repped 12 got up to 165 on stack usually do 210 but i did not do back close to 2 wks so ok..
tbar pad to chest x3 45,then 45 and 25 for 2 sets total 3 ,,usually do 2 plates and 25 so way off ,,i was kinda hurting here a bit ....
finished with stretch standup pulldown bar to waist on cable crossover x3

hypers no weight x3 lame....

bi's
curls x4 light ,,reps did bar then added 10' then added 5's for 2 sets ,,usually hit 115 to 125 heaviest got pump tho..
seat db curls stronger here got up to 35 lb db's x3
finished cable rope low curl x3

abs,,,
all in all good little pain and good pump,,no real after pain..

Other demands on my time got in the way of my making it to the gym today. Besides having a great lunch with a friend, I spent the rest of the afternoon at the Capitol in Salem, Oregon testifying at a rules committee hearing for SB 822 which seeks to reduce contractual public employees retirement benefits. Really fun stuff. I had dinner at 8:15 p.m. My sweetheart of a wife waited for me to get home so she and I could enjoy dinner together. Sometimes I just love her to pieces!

Tomorrow, my sister is having an angiogram and likely an angioplasty. So for me this means I will be back in Salem at Salem hospital to support her for most of the day. She is scared shitless. My friend Pat who had this procedure many years ago said it is easier than going to the dentist. I plan to share this nugget with my sister tomorrow. Hopefully, it will placate her fears.

So it looks like Friday will be the day I hit the gym again. The only other thing scheduled for that day is attending a board meeting.

I love omelettes.   :P I haven't eaten any Easter eggs and don't intend to. It's Easter Friday here today and I am having lunch with the family. I told everyone not to get me chocolate. Mum gave me a small box of chocolates.  It's cooling down nice here although it was very humid yesterday and I couldn't stop sweating all day. I will start laying in the sun soon as soon as I get a new sunbed.

Karen,

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter. Are you dying eggs for your daughter to find? I remember my wife and I doing that when our kids were young. Sometimes it is the simple things in life that make it so wonderful. Our kids are grown and long ago gone from the nest. I seems silly to dye and hide eggs for our two canine children, when they would much prefer Milk Bones. So I guess we will have to settle for a more adult style Easter.

We have invited friends for Easter dinner. I am not clear on what we are fixing. We had thought of a rack of lamb, but one of our friends dislikes lamb.

My sister will be with us too. I am bringing her home tomorrow from the hospital. She had an angioplasty today and she is not supposed to climb stairs, Her apartment is on the second floor. Our home has three bedrooms on the main floor. She will be using one of those bedrooms while she recovers. I never thought I would be caring for my sister who is almost 15 years younger than I am. My other sister died a few years back from oat cell cancer which had riddled her body. She was barely 50 years old.

It appears that evil rotten me is going to outlive most of my family. This is cruel punishment indeed for my misdeeds over the years.

HUMAN BODY IS INDEED A STRANGE AND COMPLEX MECHANISM OF GOOD AND BAD PARTS....1ST  DELT WORKOUT IN 2 WKS ..

CALVES IST STANDING CALF RAISES 5 SETS ABLE TO REST PADS ON TRAPS NO PAIN A WK AGO THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN DAUNTING...LOL

DELTS
DID A LOT OF WARMING OF SHOULDER'S
1... SIDE RAISES STARTED VERY LIGHT 15'S AND GOT TO 30'S AND DID DROP WITH LAST SET BACK TO 20'S,,USUALLY HIT 35/40 ON DB'S BUT 30
WAS HEAVY STILL AND I NOTICED MY L/S SHOULDER MECHANICS WHILE IMPROVED THAT SHOULDER DROPPED A BIT FATIGUED QUICKER
2 ..SMITH PRESS BEHIND NECK USUALLY I DO FRONT PRESS BUT IT FELT LIKE A NO GO SO IDID SOME REAR PRESSING ACTUALLY WENT WELL NO
PAIN JUST LESS WEIGHT THAN USUAL AND AGAIN LOST SOME STRENGHT AS HIGHER WEIGHT USED
3..REAR DELT MACHINE 3X THIS KINDA SHOWED WHERE I'M AT FELT OFF AS I NCREASED WEIGHT I USUALLY DO CABLES BUT DID NOT WANT TO BEND OVER AND ADD STRESS TO THAT AREA..
4...FRONT RAISE UNDER HAND GRIP CURL BAR X3 NO PROBLEMS JUST A BIT LESS WEIGHT...
5...COUPLE SET UP RIGHTS WENT WAY LIGHTER  WORKED BUT AGAIN SHOULDER FELT PINCHED AS REPS WORE ON...

SHRUGS DBELL,, NOW GOING UP OR DOWN WASN'T ISSUE JUST THE PAIN IN REAR UPPER BACK  AND ARM TIREDNESS WAS THE ROOT HERE.
I WAS ABLE TO DO 60/70/75/80 SHRUGS REPPED HI 10/15 I USUALLY DO 100/125 SHRUGS WITH DBELL BUT WAS NOT CHASING WEIGHT EGO
