I've done those too. They're a killer workout for abs and like with a Ab Coaster you can change your leg position hitting the side abs and oblique's as well. The straps are a bit uncomfortable though after awhile.
donīt laugh but i got this some years ago as a video .. great ab workouts

I trained at the first Nautilus facility in Deland Florida, Arthur was not there Ellington Darden was running the place but a asshole I didn't like him. I did get to see all the crocs out back and they grew chickens to feed them. It was like going back in time training on the same machines Casey trained on. I really never admired Casey's physique his work ethic and strength amazing.

I know what you mean about swinging when doing hanging leg raises; I have had the same experience. When someone who is in tip top shape with really strong abs does hanging leg raises, it is a sight to behold....absolute control and strength.

Nautilus Plus in Oregon City has two leg raise stations which are specifically designed for the position you've mentioned. The pad at the back is long enough to support your back and qlutes. Rather than just a bare bar you rest your forearms on a flat pad. It is very comfortable to use. Somehow the Ab Coaster is a slightly different movement. The trick is to do these with a very controlled motion. like with other ways of doing leg raises, there is a tendency to use momentum rather than muscle to lift the legs.

yes,,and jay I should have been more specific I use that one too your hands are on pegs and arms next to body,,,with the dip machine and reversed and sitting back tail bone to bad slightly bumping into it to support them arms stretched out like normal leg raise and then no swing like a cheat version but it works,,,my abs are strong 'core'aspect but lower body legs are heavy its tough ,,i'm a wimp cause I see pro in pictures like haney doing them no problem and they were massive..

Does anyone do kneeling cable crunches? The routine I am currently using suggests doing these. If you've done them, can you tell me how they compare to other ways of doing crunches. I've done them before, but I don't get what the advantage is.

The rotary torso a decent machine bored me, I had rather just do twists with a bar.

Right, trainer! If they are good for a serratus workout, I should be doing them. There is not much more than a little fat on this part of my body.

I'll be back later....got to vacuum the house, mow the lawn, take the dog to the vet for shots and get this all done before it is time for the gym.  ;D
