I bought a really nice one from Sears many years ago, mainly for my wife. She used it once or twice. It used to be in the loft. Sometimes I'd go up there and run on it for a half hour. The nice thing is one can run naked when the treadmill is in their own home. Running naked feels almost as good as swimming naked....but that's just me and we all know by now that I am a little odd.  ;D

At present, the treadmill is in the garage. It is in a location that I could use it if I wanted, but I have not.

I know I would use a treadmill if I had one.  I stayed with a girlfriend in melbourne for a month a few years ago and every morning I would do an hour on her treadmill.  I loved it.

I am outside enough.   ;D  I personally prefer walking outdoors if it isn't too hot.  I think that its more of a workout for the muscles, as the treadmill carries you along.  My calves always feel as though they got a better workout from walking outdoors.  I think mentally too, I can unwind and just look at nature.
Exactly. I have to train people at the gym about twice a week. Some ask do you think I should hit the treadmill I say yes did "you bring a ball bat". Get out in fresh air when you can the vitamin D really helps women as well.

My bones are strong, I am not some little old lady.  I have never broken a bone and I grew up drinking alot of milk and eating plenty of dairy.  I have been doing weight bearing exercises since I was 17.  I am not a candicate for brittle bones.

I know you look great booty. Just saying the sunlight will keep your bones strong and I am saying it to myself for the future. Falcon called yesterday and we were discussing this very topic about vitamin D.

We have the highest skin cancer in the world where I live.  I see the sun 365 days of the year.  I don't want to see so much sunlight.  Give me snow and four seasons anyway.   :(

Understood my mistake, I never saw a cloud when I was there. See I like a cloudy rainy day at times we have that here it calms the mind a bit, four seasons here every year. I have travelled all over the USA - NC is still top 5.  So are you still thinking of entering a show?

I am so looking forward to winter here.  Wearing jeans without sweating and sitting under a throw rug at night while I watch tv..getting into bed with my electric blanket on.  I will soak up plenty of sun when I lay in the sun wearing only coconut oil.
I will have to play it by ear, in otherwords see how I am looking next year.  I am quite hard on myself.

So, what I hear you all saying is that a treadmill is good for exercise, but nothing more, like feeding one's soul by communing with nature or just soaking up some good old rays from the sun while enjoying the sights. I think I see my puppies nodding and winking at me. They know a good walk is killer.

In Oregon we have the highest incidence of skin rust and mold from all the rain.  ;) I shouldn't complain because this spring has been amazing with lots of sunny days and just enough rain to keep the grass green and the flower blooming.

Not too different from what I am doing. My only day off is Sunday. Hams and quads each have their own day. I combine abs with deltoids. Allowing seven days for the muscles to recover works really great for me.

Wednesday - back:

ISO front lat pulldown, 4X12-6 @ 110 to 250 lbs.
ISO bench rows, 4X12-8 @ 90 to 130
Nebula low row, 3X12-8 @ 90 to 150
Hammer reverse grip pull down, 2X10-8 @ 100 to 150
One arm dumbbell rows, 2X10-8 @ 45 to 55

I either added sets, reps or upped the resistance marginally. And no, I did not do anything to failure today.  :(

This is my shortest routine of the week. That was a good thing today because the day was full of errands. I dropped my wife off at the optometrist, went to the gym, worked out and got back just as the doctor finished up. I saw my optometrist in the morning. I think my doctor is more thorough than hers, since I was getting my eyes examined for almost two hours while my wife's exam barely took an hour.

Tomorrow I work deltoids and abs.

I have never heard of skin rust, Jay?   :D  Its raining here right now.  Hopefully it washes away some pollen as the pressure in my nose is very uncomfortable.  I think it's going to fine up..can't wait.

I got this guy I have been training around 3 years he has made good progress hence why he keeps coming around for my help. Now I am tired of him but being a nice person overall I am not sure on how to get rid of him he gets on my nerves now. I am not good of getting rid of people unless they piss me off.

Me neither. I find it difficult to let people go because I worry I will hurt their feelings. If you are not getting paid for helping him and doing so feels like an imposition, you could make yourself somehow unavailable to him. If he is paying you and you no longer want him as a client, thus this being just a business relationship, simply tell him that it is time for him to seek out a new trainer.

I sometimes will ask someone for advice on one particular exercise they are doing that I also do, but I think this is a bit different. The question is usually short and sweet, not requiring them to interrupt their workout to advise me. I rarely offer people advice though unless they specifically ask for it. Even then, I qualify my answer by making sure they understand I am not a certified trainer and therefore any advice I give should be taken lightly.

My good friend who I met when I was 18 years old, still lives in California. We have nothing in common although he's a good person.  He never married, has no children and although he is gay, he never managed what I consider a long term relationship with anyone. He is all alone and lonely a lot of the time, although he does do stuff with his friends. My wife and I both think of him kind of like a brother. When he visits we enjoy his time with us for a day or two and that's about it. Writing about him reminds me that I should give him a call to see how he is doing.

He pays me for the workouts but calls me alot about diet and such. Yea the issue is I don't like hurting peoples feelings damn life is hard enough. Yea seems the friend is just a loner at heart but good you still talk to him. I played football in High School out of the blue my quarterback called me and said thanks for all the help playing football. I played offense protected him and defense linebacker both ways. He wants me to come by not sure if will it will stir up too many feelings from the past.

Hopefully, you and your high school football team member have both matured and changed since those times. Sure, you'll probably spend some time reminiscing about the good ol' days, but this is also an opportunity to see if you have anything in common today.

I had some friends in high school who I lost touch with. I tried finding them via the Internet with no luck. Other high school friends, a few that I hung out with a lot, went on to have really screwed up adult lives and I was the wild one of the bunch! Go figure. Unlike these folks, I was never very interested in drugs. I think that is what ended up making a lot of difference. One friend was so smart, she went straight from high school to UCLA with an English lit major. She got her bachelor's and her master's in four years. She went on to become a heroin addict after school and turned her life to shit. Another really bright guy I hung out with ended up divorced and selling Real Estate in Spokane, WA. And to think, I was the dumb bunny of our little group.
