It's your own fault, you deserve it!

No wait, that would be you on the G&O ;D
Get well Scott!

Damn right it is!   ;D  When asked by the doctor what should they do if I gave up the ghost on the table I replied, "Leave me.  I won't know and besides if you bump start me too late I might wake up a registered Democrat."   ;D

Yup.  They had a good laugh too.  Was I scared?  Yes.  But there is nothing anyone can do past a certain point and faith can carry me only so far. The rest of the journey is a mystery until I cross that final bridge.

Thanks lads, for the encouragement!  I enjoy reading all your posts about your differing routines.

Yesterday, pull day: machine assisted chins (neutral grip), barbell rows and DB upright rows.
This afternoon, push day: flat DB presses, standing DB presses and skull crushers.
Everything 10x10 with 15-30 sec intervals.

I hope my legs are recovered tomorrow for some squats & deads, we'll see...
Nice Weekend everybody :)

what weights are you using on your Training? your rest periods are very short.

I did this today. Trained the whole body. I was a bucket of sweat at the end. Then went by the bay by a seaside bar having a few beers.  Watch the rich people and their insanely expensive boats pull up to dock by the bar. One thing I noticed. You can buy the 700K boat but you can't buy the body.  I'm sure some steroid users will dispute that.

Power cleans 3 x 3 then ended with 1 x 1

Full Olympic squats 2 x 9 then 1 x 1
Lunges 1 x 8
Standing leg curl 2 x 12

Dumbbell flat bench 2 x 8

Pull ups 2 x max
Seated V handle lat rows 2 x 12

Military press 2 x 8 (cleaned the weight to begin)
Dumbbell lateral raise 2 x 10

ez bar curls 2 x 10 (find this easier on my bad shoulder than straight bar)

Weighted dips 2 x 10 ( tried to go all the way down instead of easy shallow.)

Hanging leg raise 2 x max
Seated pulley crunches 2 x 25

Standing calf raises 2 x 15

Weighted back extensions 2 x 15

Grip and neck work

Took me 1:45 to do.

I'm way stronger with pulls as well, so I see it as a nice challenge for my tris.

Let's just say, nothing to write home about, or write on a forum ;D
You really have to lower your weights, but I have no problem with that, since I'm rather 'muscle activation' than weight oriented.
For example, I did only 135 on those barbell rows, but that's fine; my back is sore and that's what matters. Another nice benefit is that lower weights are less taxing to the joints (that's an open door, I know..).

On a side note, this kind of training made me a aware of an important thing. Everytime that you switch to another exercise, you have to zone in (again!). Now I'm able to dive deep into an exercise, which sometimes takes a few sets.

yes i have done them using a rope and cable, worked ok but i like good old Hanging knee raises and crunches on the floor. Double crunches bringing knees and elbows together. went through periods of no ab Training just letting rowing , deads etc Train it all but when you start crunching again...you feel it. Also like to just tense my abs when sitting. crunches on a ball give you a longer range of Motion.
I do crunches with a stability beam under my lower back while using the rope on a low pulley attachment. ;)

I miss the days when my kids were little. Wait till they are teenagers and then you can take them to Universal in Florida. You can do all the amazing rides they have there with them.

Did all the groceries for my adjusted diet, which I will start tomorrow:

Chicken breast
Brown rice
Vegetables
Eggs (whole)
Walnuts

The macros are 250gr protein, 210gr fats & 250gr carbs, +4,000 kcals (on workout days some extra kcals from my inner- & post workout drinks).

My current diet consists of eggs, whey, quark(cheese), oat meal, rice, veggies & olive oil. I experienced that the oats made me drowsy and that the quark gave digestion problems, so it was time for a change.

Three week till vacation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It's nuts that I live right by the ocean but I take the family 600 miles to another beach. Just fun to get away to someplace difference. I just wish I could drop 10 pounds but it seems hard as hell lately. I'm 185 but I want to tighten up to 175. I don't know if I will make it but I will give it my best.

Seems like your weight is about right. I have shrunk to 5'9" and currently weigh in at 193 lbs. most days. I am "big boned" though. I don't feel or look fat (I hope). At least my family thinks I look thin.
