My favorite!
I don't use barbells at all during my own routines (reasons: shoulder joints and training alone).
Only every now and then when I work with my coach, I perform those guillotine presses.

i like to use a Barbell because i can concentrate more on my plane of path. i do like DBs for flat and incline though.

Well, I have to say that decline barbell work isn't messing with my joints, but then again, I prefer to train alone (short intervals & more freedom).

BTW, had a nice 18.5 minute HIIT cardio session this morning (indoor cycle), 1 min moderate speed/low resistance/30 secs sprint/high resistance.

Decline is a great exercise. None of the Young guys in the Gym use it unless i Show it. All just want the flat bench.

My gym has 3 flat benches, but only 1 would be plenty. The cable crossover is a different story; my gym needs a second one. I hardly use it, but those youngsters are addicted...
I would welcome a second squat rack, or even better, a power rack.

Cables are good if you have the muscles to contract. flat flyes are ok. bench between the low cables. Most have not paid their dues on BB press ..Dips...Incline press.

I can't think for them, since I was never a big fan of cross overs myself, but maybe they're confusing the pump with hypertrophy ???
In case I perform multiple exercises for a certain muscle, then I often put emphasis on the stretch first and finish that with a peak contraction movement.

Sorry for the confusion, LOL. Yes, I'm a strong believer in the push/pull split. I try to create variety within this framework by not performing the same exercises over and over again. Sometimes I perform 2-4 exercises for a certain muscle, but with my recent German volume training like approach its 1-2 but with much higher volume. I always seek for exercises with (almost) no overlap, like POF principles, but also emphasis on the stretch or contraction.

Maybe I should with a book about my approach, called "Dropping Pilates", but I hope this explains a bit.

Seems like your weight is about right. I have shrunk to 5'9" and currently weigh in at 193 lbs. most days. I am "big boned" though. I don't feel or look fat (I hope). At least my family thinks I look thin.

Most boxers and MMA guys my height are under 155lbs. Here are two elite bodybuilding pictures. Means is about 175 at 5'9". and Baldwin is 173lbs in this picture at 5'9". I am not comparing myself to them but just saying stripped of fat 170lbs is more than enough weight at that height for an fitness guy.

He certainly does but I feel sorry for him. I suspect strongly that he's still running cycles at his age. It says something about his emotional make up that he is willing to risk health to be seen as a muscle man.  Knowing a little about the way he sees things he would probably say it's a very small risk and that it has health benefits.  ::) He's quick to say many can take all the drugs they want and not look as good as him but using that logic can he  have decent physique completely clean for 6 months? I doubt it.

Well he must have a strong constitution or he really regulates what he takes. He is 67 years old and still going strong.

Tonight legs (at home)

10 mins jumping rope to warm up.
BB squats 4 sets
front squats 4 sets
BB Hack squats 4 sets
one legged calf raises 3- 5 sets (with dB)

I have a leg curl/Extension bench but i just fancy some Hack squats and front squats. BB Hacks are very effective for lower leg and Hammies ;D... might not look like much this Routine but it does hit it all.
