did back too last night Steve..

Close undergrip chins 3xmax
Wide grip pulldowns to front 3 sets
BB wide grip rows 3 sets
one arm cable rows 3 sets
BB pull overs 3 sets
Hyperextensions 45 degree 3 sets

a bit more exercise variation than i normally do. bit of lower back discomfort so i did some bodyweight hypers. one arm cable rows were just for a change using a low pulley. old school style.

I couldn't watch the video. She just irritates the hell out of me with that pompous , "I have a one week training certificate and I am all knowing," type attitude.

If you were teaching someone how to make a basket in basket ball would you say, " eye on the rim, shoot with finger tips, slight bend in legs, exhale when you throw, follow through with the wrist, shoot relaxed, slight twist to the throwing hand, think 4 inches past rim. I think I would take a shot and give the kid the ball to shoot. Maybe give him a pointer or two. I see these personal trainers every where now. In the gyms and in the parks. They all have this over correction chatter concerning the tiniest nuance of an exercise thinking they are PHD's in kinesiology.

Keep in mind that this video is made for a broad audience. Explaining things to an advanced lifter is much easier than to a beginner.

You're clearly passionate in the good sense, Steve. In case you took the mass route, then it would be much harder to combine that with a job & family life. We all need to find out for ourselves what matters the most to us, call it a Journey...

I always train to a pre written script. I then write down the reps completed and the work out time. I'm very rigid in my structure. Today I'm training delts and arms. Just going to wing it. Do what ever I feel like it. Complete instinct. This is a complete deviation from what I normally do. It's going to feel strange.

I do what i feel like on the Day. I maybe mid workout swap an exercise because it feels right at the time. i used to write stuff down but i stopped because i never stuck to it. IŽll stick with my "meats and Bones" exercises but i might throw in extra sets/fewer sets...an extra exercise if i feel like it. Maybe on the Day BB Benches donŽt feel right..so iŽll  superset Push ups and DB flyes. maybe Dips.

yep... some Days youŽre Busting with Energy and other Days youŽre tired or on a tight schedule. Giant sets are great Stevo.. for legs.. Maximum intensity. although i do most often supersets or tri sets ( shoulders)

I did 4 sets an exercise for delt and arms. The only unusual thing for me is that I pyramided  but kept the reps the same. So for an exercise I might have did 4 sets of 8 reps but every set I upped the weight.

I'm becoming convinced that doing a lot of sets for an exercise isn't for me.  I just can't stand repeating an exercise too many times. I want to do a set or two to failure and be done. Doing 4 sets of an exercise seems like I'm spinning my wheels doing too many sub maximal sets. It also takes a lot of time unless you are rushing through your sets with light weight.

yeah...I tried that what ur saying example warmed and did not count fb press 50/60 then jumped right to 80's instead building to it and foe a few chest workouts I pressed them easier amd mor ereps and then go up 85/90 max then I get hurt and back to struggling with 80's
