21 pull ups for my first set. Next two sets were only 7 each.

Three sets of smith bb rows.
Three sets of lat pull downs.
Three sets of one arm machine rows.

Only two sets of smith incline bench press before i felt a "twinge" so...
Five sets of 20 down to 5 reps of pec dec flies.

Three sets of 10 reps each machine sit ups.

All done.  It was exciting to make 21 pull ups but I had not lifted in 4 days so I was well rested.  Keep up the excellent work, lads!

reverse'underhand 'pulldowns i used bar that curls in middle and handles flair out 'its narrow bar but hits upper back nice underhanded
low cable rows 180-210 set 12-10 reps
tbar row chest to pad x3 ,,2 plates and same with added 10's 3rd set 2 plates and 25
rope pulls to waist standing pulldown x3
pulldown hammer machine x3 wide grip

I know you are all waiting for this with baited breath....ha, ha. But yes, I hit the gym today for the second time this week. I just fell into a routine where I added another set and did not increase the resistance at all.

What I discovered is that I was completely out of breath on some exercises, such as squats. I can only think that my last recent bout of pneumonia has compromised the capacity of my lungs to become oxygenated. Bummer. I am not going to let this set me back. On the contrary, I soldiered through and I feel that much better for having done so.

On Friday, I am hoping to have my grandson join me in my workout. Ideally, we will workout together, but I am going to leave this up to him. He's been through a very difficult time recently. He wants to get in some gym time. Hopefully going to the gym with me will provide him with what he needs right now which is a little physical release and distraction from his other concerns.

so had my Colonoscopy this morning...Swelling,blood. got to go to a special Doctor for check ups regular and regular medicine. One of the nurses i knew, her ex Husband i met years ago. he was also ex Army in Celle. I had to be moved from the recovery room into the treatment room early because a Muslim woman did not want a man in the Room >:( The Nurse i know said out loud..we have to move Herr smith because of a Muslim Woman..the other nurses rolled their eyes. Ridicules. doctor gave me a bit of a Bollocking about not taking medicine. Told me it can effect my other organs,liver and even eyes :o asked me if i want to live longer.. so i think it was a wake up call to take my medicine and do therapy. well i am now going to eat a big bowl of spagetti..i am hungry !

yes.. Like i wrote one nurse i knew. It is really crazy. The Nurses rolled their eyes. The Hospital is not to blame. They were so nice.

Today I trained at home, nice and early.

10 sets of 20 down to 5 reps of DB lateral raises.
5 sets of 20 reps with (dammit!) 10 lbs for shoulder presses.
3 sets of bent over DB raises.
3 sets of DB shrugs for 10 reps each.

5 sets of BB curls. 20 down to 5 reps.
6 sets of alternate DB curls 20 down to 5 reps.

Tricep pressdowns for 8 sets of 30 down to 5 reps.
Dips!  Yuppers, dips!  I had to be careful so I only did 3 sets of 5 reps bodyweight.  Dips are a favorite of mine.

3 sets of Roman Chair sit ups holding a 25 lb. plate to my chest.
All done.

Made it to the gym today. Didn't get there yesterday because the fellow cleaning our blinds didn't finish up in time for me to get it in.

Today I did three sets of approximately 12 reps on all exercises. For a general warmup I did 10 minutes on the thread mill, plus a 2 minute cool down before hitting the weights and machines. In keeping with the routine I started at the beginning of the week, I did a full body workout, working large muscle groups first and finishing up with arms and finally abs.

Doing three sets took awhile. Probably about an hour all together. I rested not longer than a minute between sets. I added some weight resistance to the squats which felt good and I was still able to go deep with no knee problems. Breathing, as in getting enough oxygen, was still an issue with the squats. Hopefully, my lung capacity will start picking up next week.

Have not decided how to proceed next week. I will probably stay with 3 sets and just work on adding some resistance a little at a time.

I wasn't exactly familiar with this examination, so I did some reading about the preparation, the procedure and its complications on it's Wiki page.
