I know you are all waiting for this with baited breath....ha, ha. But yes, I hit the gym today for the second time this week. I just fell into a routine where I added another set and did not increase the resistance at all.
What I discovered is that I was completely out of breath on some exercises, such as squats. I can only think that my last recent bout of pneumonia has compromised the capacity of my lungs to become oxygenated. Bummer. I am not going to let this set me back. On the contrary, I soldiered through and I feel that much better for having done so.
On Friday, I am hoping to have my grandson join me in my workout. Ideally, we will workout together, but I am going to leave this up to him. He's been through a very difficult time recently. He wants to get in some gym time. Hopefully going to the gym with me will provide him with what he needs right now which is a little physical release and distraction from his other concerns.
