njflex, I have an Italian wife.

Stuffed clams
Flounder
shrimp cold with home made cocktail sauce that has a real kick.
Scallops cooked in butter and garlic
Pasta with white clam sauce
crab cakes
10 different types of the most incredible home made cookies. Never found a bakery that could even come close and I live near the American food capital of the US, NYC.
red wine, white and German beer.
Coffee and tea.

Wife gave me top of the line Adidas running shoes. I'm going to have to run my ass off to kill the amount of calories from today and tomorrow.  No worries. There is a time to party and a time to get to work.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Last night while fixing dinner, I managed to slice open my hand with a chef's knife. The cut was pretty deep but fortunately not too long and no arteries were cut. My son-in-law and daughter fixed me us with surgical adhesive and tape and then wrapped up my hand like a mummy. Hopefully the skin is glued back together. Remember when you used to have to get stitches for cuts?

I am not going to the gym today. I am taking a Christmas tree, ornaments and lights to my sister who lives in Salem, OR. I am paying her storage fees again this month as a Christmas present.

Yesterday I intended to work legs as I did last week. My wife wanted to go to the store for stocking stuffers. I was nervous about just dropping her off as we've done in the past, so I missed the gym yesterday too. If I can get legs in tomorrow, I am going to call it good for the week and take Wednesday and Thursday off, (the gym is closed on Thursday anyway). I'll resume workouts on Saturday and be back to normal by next week, hopefully.

Hope the hand is healing without an infection.

My immune system is top notch. No infection what-so-ever. It just has a regular band aide on it now. The skin has sealed up pretty good. There is no gaping wound or anything, just a line where the knife cut the flesh.

Did this today with a hang over. I know I don't keep an every day journal here. It's just to much typing. No warm ups listed. Back and chest.

Pull ups 2 x max
Low V handle seated cable rows 2 x 12
Single Dumbbell row off a bench 2 x 10
Reverse pulley straight bar pulldown 2 x 10

Dumbbell flat bench 2 x 8 (Both of my shoulders are so bad I used a light weight 70lbs and used a slow rep cadence and a full range of motion)
Incline dumbbell bench 2 x 8
Flat flies 2 x 10
Push ups 2 x max (regular and perfect push up handles)

Dead lift 2 x 4 then 1 x 1
Weighted hyper extensions 2 x 12 (used nice form and cadence using a 25lbs plate behind my head.)
Weighted floor crunch 1 x 55 (held a 5lbs plate behind head trying to get my upper back off the floor every rep)

In bed typing this out. My left shoulder just made pop corn noises when I moved my arm. I can see a time coming when push ups will be my only chest exercise.

Hardcore Steve but why so many Quad dominant exercises or do you change your feet positions on leg press and hacks?

QUADZILLA  ;D  Leg press feet higher up i feel it good on my Hammies. Good routine which works for you Steve. I asked because i remember in the past i did not work my Hammies enough and i got some lower back pain.. doing stiff deads again and stretches sorted it. Muscle disbalance.

A lot of people donīt train Hammies enough, also stretches and i was guilty myself of this. I am still flexible but if you train an antagonistic muscle group more than itīs opposite muscle you get disbalance. This couses pain in most cases. the stronger muscle group controls too much and the other is weak and shortens to a degree.
