Trump/palin as a 3rd party ticket would officially be the most hilarious thing in the history of politics.

No, a leader should not state "facts" in any manner he or she chooses.  And some of those "fact" are actually opinions.  Delivery is important.  Context is important.  Consensus building is important.  Trump's scorched earth approach is really an example of someone who lacks true intelligence.  Really smart people know how to get their message across without acting like a donkey.

not really, chris hitchens was known for a barbed tongue, idiocy should not be suffered. Skirting around important issues do to "respect" etc is silly. In business you shoot straight, you tell it like it is, politics is exactly the same.

No one is held accountable.

Christopher Hitchens wasn't a political leader.  There is a huge difference between a social/political commentator and a political leader.

Respect is not silly at all.  There is a reason why the vast majority of our leaders don't act like Trump or Anthony Wiener:  it's unprofessional, rude, and not very smart.  It is possible to be a straight shooter and tell the truth without being a jerk.

I stand by everything I said about leadership, but I was dead wrong about Trump.

Yes we all know his statements are ignorant and he is somewhat ill-informed on the issues....but I have to admit , shamefully so, that Trump does have some appeal to me and it explains why he's so high in the polls...

He says exactly what he means.....there's no bullshit and no spin doctors.....I was watching an interview with Gov Scott Walker on CNN this Sunday and the interview was frustrating, and infuriating....he wouldn't answer a definitive yes or no to anything and when asked to elaborate he would say "I just did" when he actually didn't.....he changed positions and then claimed he hadn't....

It just struck me that watching interviews with politicians is such a waste of time because they don't say anything substantive.....and the ducking, dodging and weaving is just painful to watch.....

Donald Trump says what he means and means what he says...He's actually a symptom of whats wrong with American politics...I had no problem  with what he said about John McCain because McCain has been coasting on his record for years...he hasn't done anything substantive in the senate for years and has wasted the last 7 years criticizing Obama on TV...Trump said that McCain spends all of his time on TV, says nothing and has done nothing for Veterans....

staight to the point.....  and probably factual......you don't have to wonder or try to figure out where Trump stands..you KNOW.

My opinion on Trump is softening somewhat but its still a scary thought that he would be president and in charge of our nuclear arsenal :o

There is nothing noble about what Trump is saying.  He's an idiot.  An inability to control your mouth, especially when you have such a large platform, is not a virtue.  He is a joke.

WTF is this?  Bizzarro World?  How things have changed.   :D

I would agree with this. Stay true to the facts but be kind above all.

I watch that video and I tell myself, "These are people who really have it together"

"These are people who have a coherent message for America's future.

I went and checked out the video on youtube and it was about what I expected.
