A theory isn't what you think it is, it's a collection of facts, a theory best explains these facts. Gravity is but a theory, things will fall when dropped, the theory of gravity explains why.
Evolution is one of the most heavily supported theories in all of science, it has mountains of facts, from different branchs, like geology, genetics, morphology etc.
With evolution we can make predictions, we can explain odd behaviours, make corrections and use it to our advantage, ie using rapid life cycle species to test generational effects, disease processes etc.
The big bang isn't what you think it is either. it's a fact that the universe started from a single point, this is evidenced in the background radiation, redshift and the expansion of the universe. Math is factual and logical, like 2 +2 =4, in the same sense, the math used to calculate the beginning of the universe postulates a single rapid expansion, a singularity.
