Not true , Seiko makes a pretty high quality watch for relatively short money

Seiko Monster diver. Black face, stainless band, automatic movt, 200m water resist, better quality bracelet than watches costing 4x5 as much. $183 shipped. Also sold in variety face colors.

Good luck finding one at your local US dealer at this price.  I have had good experiences with the eBay Singapore watch sellers in the past.

Orient makes a pretty decent watch, I believe they are owned by Seiko, try one, you will be very happy I believe
