Yes he will.

These days, the guys competing at the national level are not very good. He will rise to prominence in the IFBB soon.

Yep. It's the changing of the guard. They've got some new guys who have great and likeable personalities. You need people with some life in them

I feel bad for him though. Seems like all he ever wanted was for his dad to care and for his dad to be proud of him. I hope that he comes to terms with the fact that his dad probably had his own demons and that he is his own man

I also hope he doesn't get caught up in the nonsense and starts carrying on about haters.

Seems to be enjoying himself and earnest enough which is charming.  Doesn' strike me as insecure enough to worry about haters like someone who will remain nameless.  8)

He's also had to work for this for a long time and it sounds like he did what he had to do to get there so that gives you more security and you don't get distracted by haters

Hopefully he has a good support system around him. I like what he said about wanting him to focus on his whole life.

To be called Jnr after your father's name is incredibly silly if you ask me.
So what your existance is in the shadow of your father's?
Fuck that...
The egotistical thought process behind naming your son as your Jnr is disgusting

His father was a hard working, hard lifting Cuban. No psychopathy.

True there are a lot of cans competing today but that's because there are just a lot of people competing. There are a handful of legit freaks out there coming up. Sergio Jr. looks like a great bber but I don't think he's reached the level of freakiness that takes you to the top tier. Depends how old he is if he has a chance. If he's still in his twenties then maybe. If he is already in his thirties his window of opportunity is closing fast.

He's good, but he's not his Dad. Sergio Sr. had arguably the best bodybuilding genetics ever. Jr. is not as blessed.
