8 cops there. None of them fire, aside from the one who was charged.
Cop jumped out of his car and started shooting 6 seconds later. The other seven cops didn't see a need to shoot. They had been there longer. This dude rolls up, jumps out, runs to suspect and puts 16 bullets into him at close range. For a 3 inch knife he had, 15 to 20 feet away from them, making no movement toward them.
MAYBE if he fired twice, and dude fell, then they moved in... maybe then, he doesn't get charged. BUT the other 14 shots into a dude on the ground, at close range? That's 14 finishing shots.
I wonder how many of them went into his head, and how many into body?
The biggest question is why the DA took a YEAR to decide to charge this cop.
