I think you're under the misconception that Christians aren't required to take responsability for their actions.

God is very clear, we cannot be saved unless we repent. Repentance demands that you acknowledge your actions, take full responsability and completely turn from your ways. “………..I (GOD) am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.” Revelation 2:23
God tells us in the book of James that all sin in our lives is OUR OWN FAULT. "but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. James 1:14-16

As far as growing as a person by trusting in man, "Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above." James 1:17

I'm not trying to throw a bunch of scripture at you guys. I just think people have heard so much nonsense about God and Christianity, but never look at the TRUTH. So I'm just showing you what God really says.

God is NOT some 'Genie' in a bottle that you rub and He comes out and gives you everything you want. When you become a Christian life just doesn't instantly become easy with no problems. Just because I know Jesus doesn't mean I can bench press 2000lbs and beat Ronnie Coleman. I serve God, He doesn't serve me!

However, Jesus said that He would give us a life beyond what we could ever ask or imagine. "I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and have it to the fullest." John 10:10

Christians are REAL people with real problems. We have bad days, lose our temper and embarrass our Lord. Luckily, we have a God that loves us, forgives us, and blesses us. He gives us a future and a hope. The great news is HE will NEVER LET US DOWN!

Are you blaming God for the bad things that happen in your life? Are you saying you are a "sinless" man? Are you not willing to take responsability for the consequences of your actions?

God's ways may seem mysterious to us, because ""As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my (God) ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:9
However, He is very clear in His Word how He will act or respond. 'Every good and perfect gift is from above.", God will also bring judgement and He isn't afraid to tell us.

Also, when you quote scripture always be sure to quote it in "context" and "understand" what you are quoting.

In Jeremiah 48:10, Jeremiah was giving a prophecy about the Moabites (from the land of Moab). "Moab will be destroyed as a nation because she defied the LORD. Terror and pit and snare await you, O people of Moab," declares the LORD. Jeremiah 48:42-43. Clearly a nation in their "OWN VOLUNTARY" sin. The Moabities have a long history of shaking their hands at God. Not the smartest thing to do. I quoted earlier, "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." Galatians 6:7

God makes it real simple, "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword."  For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.

Easy, OBEY = Blessing; DISOBIENIENCE = Discipline.

For your information, it is the goal of Buddhism to achieve "Nirvana". Which is not an afterlife. It is technically the END. Reincarnation for them is punishment and another chance at Nirvana.

It's simply a copout to say "Well God's ways are mysterous so I can't explain why horrible things happen..But rest assured God has a plan!"

It doesn't matter if they are refering to the "Moabites" or not. God says "Don't hold your sword back." A moral God isn't a vengeful jealous and war waging God.

REASON? You call believing the earth was formed only 6,000 years ago Reasonable?(Contrary to geological and radiometric evidence)

There is no geological evidence of a "Global flood". A global flood isn't possible considering there just is not enough water on the planet to cover the entire planet. Secondly You would need DOZENS of individuals of a species inorder for it to repopulate. Haven't you ever heard of  "effective population size"? 2 of a single species or even 20 of a single species would not be able to effectivly reproduce and repopulate due to inbreeding.
Making the entire Noah story impossible.

The laws of Natural Selection aren't Random chance. Individuals who are born with benefitial mutations are more likely to reproduce than those without the benefitial mutations. Thus the benefitial mutations proliferates. Let this process go on for millions of years with mutation after mutation being naturally selected in or out and you've got yourself a new species.
