i think she faked injuries and over-dramatized the hands on her to be a victim.
I think he was justified in touching her because she did rush at trump in a threatening manner... dude used to be a cop in NH, and he was watching her hands all the way.
BUT
He did the typical piece of shit move... Lied about it "I didn't even touch her" instead of saying yes he did touch her, and it was justified.

Video shows he DID touch her. So he lied. There is proof he lied, and no proof that she lied... so he gets charged.

if he'd just been honest from the get-go and said "She made a lunge, I slowed her to make sure she wasn't going to hurt him... it's florida and I feared for a forcible felony... Once I saw hands were clear, I released her.

Just don't lie like a piece of crap, you don't get arrested here. Typical.

Agree with all above but we live in an over-litigated society that punishes truth as guilt in something small like this. ANY lawyer would say he did the right thing to deny. Only Trump would stand up for the guy. Anybody else would've dumped him the day the story broke.

Hearing Trump stick up for the guy is such a rare thing it's almost shocking to hear.

To me, it's not about the fact he grabbed her. It's about the fact he lied about it and attempted to paint her as delusional and the liar. That Trump supporters can't get this helps explain why they support him

After NBA Finals games, I've seen reporters physically grab players or their jerseys and pull them to make sure that they are the one that gets the post-game interview.

That is just one small example but I think that any reporter should expect some grabbing, pushing and jostling in a crowd when trying to get questions answered.

They do it, and it is done to them....all the fucking time. Go sue yourself you stupid bitch. Either that or get a desk job where you won't be touched.

It works like this.. Trump has applied for President of the United States. We have experienced politicians cover up for their administrations in the past, and we said we didn't like it. We said we want our government officials to be held accountable when they are caught doing something wrong. Enter the incident where an employee of Trump, a high level employee is caught doing something wrong. Lying about putting his hands on someone and then trying to discredit that person as delusional. Here is a perfect time for Trump to demonstrate he wont be like the others and cover up for his friends or he will be just like the rest. He chose to be just like the rest. Trump supporters, by saying this is no big deal, have let us know they consider Trump ignoring when a person under his supervision/control is found to be unethical, they're okay with it if he takes no action.
