Oh I get it.  So if he didn`t use any drugs he would only be 5 percent less than he is.  That makes sense.

If you used steroids, you would realize that they only add about 5-10%. If you started using now, they wouldn't make much of a difference. You would know this is you read Arnold's Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding. He uses them only as a finishing touch.

I distinctly remember an article that Mike Mentzer wrote (in M&F of all places) where he quoted from his training diary before the 1980 Olympia.  Mike BEGAN his steroid regimen after starting his precontest phase, maybe 2-3 months out from the contest.  Hard to believe in this day & age, ain't it.  But that's how they did it back then.

Good old Mike. Kind of sad what happened to him. I don't think people these days realize that pros dont need to use as much as they do to look good.

He's trained for quite a few years, actually.  The basketball brochure from 4 years back mentioned that Phil was an avid weightlifter, the strongest kid on the team, and listed his weights on the major lifts.  IIRC- His playing time decreased from his soph year on, as he gained weight and focused more on lifting and less on bball shape.  So it's probably likely- if he made hige muscle gains from age 20-22, that he was using some kinda gear at those ages until now.

Actually, I suffered an injury that still plagues me today, which is why my minutes went down and not to mention that I had a very poor attitude. It is interesting that people think they know what my so called 'focus' was when they didn't even know me back then to know what I weighed in at. For everyone's info, I was 175-180lbs while playing bball in college and didn't 'focus' on weights until I was finished with the team. Using gear while playing ball wasn't even going on which is also interesting how everyone who doesn't have any previous history playing a sport at a higher level than high school will make ignorant claims...probably because of their own lack of ability.

Did you check me piss bro while I was in college, because the NCAA did, a few times as regular procedure that is conducted randomly throughout the year and especially during March Madness for your information. If I was using, please ol' wise one, please enlighten me because if you look at the NCAA rule book on banned-substances, you'll see that we were checked for many things such as creatine and even particular substances found in red bull energy drinks so just give it a rest man because you don't have any clue of what you are talking about. I don't feel like I have to defend myself in any way, but I just cannot understand the lack of respect. Respect the fact that yes, there are some people that are just more genetically inclined than others, which is why I have had success in every sport I have played in. I knew guys who had small ass calves, never lifting a bit and could dunk with ease, which made me mad because I had to work hard for that. I later realized that genetics are what set apart the good from the OMG he's the man! By no means is this a direct attack at anyone, just a statement of reality and TRUTH. If you knew what I went throughout college, then I would probably not even respond, but since you haven't a damn clue, I find that quite rude and disrespectful, but hey, its the boards right! No harm, No foul right!

Peace!

What have you done in any sport huh? All I can see you do is disrespect people, especially bodybuilders who are actually being cool peeps. Look up my alma mater and you'll see what they are about. Funny how you know who us pros are and while we try to contribute to these boards, guys like you just continue to hate and dis us hiding behind your CPU...real tough! ;) Post a pic so we can see you and I bet you won't have much to talk about then as you'll get torn up from the floor up. People can hide behind their computers and the internet, but I'll say my piece whenever to whoever. Don't try to be such an ignorant person bro toward this thread and save the b.s. for someone else. By the way where did you go to school huh? I bet mine is more respect than yours.

Don't take those comments seriously Phil. You know the only pro that didn't get bashed here is Richard Jones ( well he got bashed a lot but not recently, and I still wonder why  ??? ).
240 or bust makes fun of the pros all the time and so does sarcasm.

Try to relax a little bit and good luck for your first pro show  ;)

Getting back to the question.  Do you mean who trains the least now that they are a pro, or who trained the least to get their pro card?  If the former, all you had to do was watch the Arnold.  Dex was almost embarrassed to say how little time he spends in the gym.  I think he said something like he trained 4 weeks out for 20 min. per session.  He couldn't answer the question with a straight face.  Check out the tape.  The latter, that's one that I'm waiting for a pro to answer.  They know.

Respect is what I have given everyone here. Yes, I do have a great education, but that does not mean I should be respected, you'll have to be the judge. I speak the truth and I know that you mean no harm and are just goofing around. Trust me, I don't take things to serious and being sensitive to remarks like these only fuel the fire. I actually enjoy communicating, but only when the facts are being talked about. The threads are great, but only when it stays on target and not going off onto other areas such as these. Let's talk about what the thread is huh?

the reason why people give you guys so much shit is because you lie your asses off about everything, how much you weigh, how much you lift, how much money you make, how tall you are, how great your genetics are, how much drugs you take, etc., if you guys would be honest you wouldn't catch so much shit, i just don't let people get away with talking bullshit.

LOL, since when did "facts" have anything to do with some good gossip & opinions and out-and-out bullshit conjecture?  That wouldn't be much fun, now would it?  97% of the threads on here would disappear. :D

True That !!

But to Phil,

Good luck with that show coming up, hopefully you can be part of the next golden era of BB cause most of the jokers out there are bloated, site injected, syntholmanicas (some... aka Dim), with no balance or asthetics.
