Organ weight? Can you elaborate.
What the reccomended macronutrient suggestions for a low ketogenic way of eating?
In the the old days an actual ketogenic diet consisted of at least 70% fat and 30% protein, some have suggested fat to be as high as 80%.
The "bro" version is totally different, as the bodybuilding way of a ketogenic diet is to have more protein than fat, in an attempt to preserve muscle and minimise fat, as rehashed by polumbo.
The reason this is not keto in the strictst sence because the staples on it like beef, eggs and whey have a high to moderate insulin index (not glyemic index) similar to that of any high glycemic carbohydrate, therefore one can never truely hit actual ketosis, and is left in limbo, suffering, irratable, weak and miserable.
Key point: to reach actual ketosis insulin has to be suppressed, meats and most protein raise insulin insulin despite being low GI, therefore fats must be 70% or over for REAL KETOSIS to take place. Fart powder being the biggest contributer to spiking insulin levels.
I Suspect That Question Was To Me, Not To "Be There." Organs: Liver, Kidneys, Heart, Lungs, Pancreas, Etc. On Low Calorie diets And Low Fat Diets, The Body's Organs Lose Mass. Does Not Happen On Extremely Low Carb, High Fat And Protein Diet. On That Diet The Only Thing You Lose Is Body Fat, And No Loss Of Muscle Mass.
The Ideal Is 70% Fat, 30% Protein. Mine Is Usually Around 65+% Fat, 25+% Protein, And Never More Than 10% Carbs, At Any One Meal. The "Bro" Version Of Anything Is Usually Wrong.
Protein Raises Insulin Levels, But No Where Near As High As Carbs Do. Your Charts Aren't Accurate At All. You Compare High Fiber Carbs To Proteins, So Really On A Gram Per Gram Basis, You Aren't Getting Equal Weights Of Carbs In The Form Of Sugars And Starches, That Do Spike Insulin High, Vs. Proteins That Don't Spike Insulin High At All. And You Have Beans As A Protein, When In Fact They Are High Carbs. On The Other Chart You Only Show Proteins, The Highest Being Whey, Though What Brand Of Whey We Don't Know, Since Most Brands Of Whey Are Loaded With Additives, Mostly Carbs. Still There Are No Sugars And Starches In That Chart, Which Would If They Had Been Shown, Been Much Higher In Insulin Spiking Ability, Than Protein Is.
Meat, And Most Proteins, Do Not Spike Insulin Levels Anywhere Near Where Sugars And Starches Spike Insulin Levels To. Whey Is Only Fart Powder, When The Manufacturer Puts In All Kinds Of Non Whey Crap Into It, Especially Carbs. Mix A Real Whey Isolate, Plain, With No Additives, A Couple Of Scoops, Into 8 Ounces Of Heavy Cream, And Ketosis Is No Problem.
