eat 8 -12 ounces of meat in the early morning, your'e good until the late afternoon. Eat the same cal for cal of just carbs, you're hungry as shit by 10:30 AM.  High carb low cal may lose weight, but it's very hard to follow IMO. Plus there's always "am I getting enough protein" in question to minimize atrophy. just my 2 cents.

i mean for the most part i follow some structure,protein/carbs/fats,,and change ratio's around depending on time of the year.i don't compete anymore but maintain a build close to my younger days i'm 48 now.eating to be healthy and training hard as one can is different than training hard and dieting for a show both good build one is more extreme in the end in terms of muscle/condition.eating to have a nice build is easy dieting for a show is a mother******...

What the reccomended macronutrient suggestions for a low ketogenic way of eating?

In the the old days an actual ketogenic diet consisted of at least 70% fat and 30% protein, some have suggested fat to be as high as 80%.

The "bro" version is totally different, as the bodybuilding way of a ketogenic diet is to have more protein than fat, in an attempt to preserve muscle and minimise fat, as rehashed by polumbo.

The reason this is not keto in the strictst sence because the staples on it like beef, eggs and whey have a high to moderate insulin index (not glyemic index) similar to that of any high glycemic carbohydrate, therefore one can never truely hit actual ketosis, and is left in limbo, suffering, irratable, weak and miserable.

Key point: to reach actual ketosis insulin has to be suppressed, meats and most protein raise insulin insulin despite being low GI, therefore fats must be 70% or over for REAL KETOSIS to take place. Fart powder being the biggest contributer to spiking insulin levels.

fyi, yesterday I ate an egg and bacon mc wrap and coffee with a ton of milk and sugar for breakkie for lunch I had 2 chicken breast and sugar cookies for din din I went to the chink restaurant and had 2 egg rolls and shrimp fried rice and I'm sitting @ a dry 6-7% with veins on my abs and all over my calves quads and forearms with an ab skinfold of 5 mm
