Yes, and did you read my articles about how NOAA and NASA were caught making up false data?
The data I quoted is pretty clear and redundant.
Here is the cliff notes version:
1. In the late 1800's , the earth's atmosphere began getting drastically higher levels of CO2.
2. This was due to the start of the industrial age and the burning of fuels on a massive scale.
3. The amount of CO2 is quote small ( parts per million) , so any increase is easy to detect.
4. Now plot the avg seasonal temps in the poles for the past 10,000 years * on the Y axis
* You can do this using the % of O2 isotopes in ice core samples.
On the X axis, plot the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere .
5. Draw a line that fits thru the x, y data points , called a linear regression line.
It's fairly consistent and flat for 9900 years until you get to the late 1800's.
Then we see a rapid increase in slope ( "steepness") which shows a clear trend between
man made CO2 and polar temp increases.
This isn't a close call Coach, it's a scientific fact.
What governments and industries choose to do about it, is where the politics comes in.
