Coffee - At home or on the road?
« on: December 29, 2016, 09:50:44 AM »
A cup (or two) of Joe is probably a constant in every Getbigger's life.
So do you usually buy it on the road every day or do you brew it at home?
Do you go with pre-ground coffee or fresh ground that you grind yourself?

Do you use a simple Coffee Maker or a French Press or a fancy expensive Coffee/Espresso Maker?
I spend my winters in Colombia and so I really enjoy my coffee down here.

Good question. I get drip coffee so not incredibly expensive. I'm a gold card member so I get free refills.

A real coffee lover should have all the proper equipment at home, coffee has being a part of time life as long as i can remember, I buy fresh coffee beans put it in the coffee grinder to get the fresh sweet smelling powder then I put it in the coffee machine and get a super strong cup of coffee, I sometimes add cinnamon, coconut milk or vanilla to mix it up and get different flavors.

Currently I've been hitting 7-11 each morning (on vacation), but working on the ship we have coffee 24-7 in our cafeteria, however the quality coffee they provide us isn't the greatest, but being a bar manager I swing by our coffee bar in which we provide premium coffee's to our passengers, in which I always opt for our delicious Kona coffee, I also have an employee from Cuba who brings me coffee from there whenever he comes back from vacation. Special mention to Nescafe, when in Thailand this is what you will see pretty much everywhere, I love their instant coffee, good stuff.

Don't drink coffee or water at home unless you live in a gated community. If you drink coffee "on the road", only drink it from places that serve people who are considered middle to upper class as a whole. Starbucks is probably your best bet. Donkin donuts, 7/11 and gas station type places are a no no. Esp in lower income places. The latter is where experiments are being done with the water. Starbucks isn't 100% but you have a better chance of getting filtered water made with your drink. If you notice G04it's body, pretty decent physique but he's starting to grow moobs. That's from the water from 7/11 in his coffee over the years. He's basically turning into a woman. No offence go4it.
Lol..I've been going to 7-11 for less then 2 weeks my friend.

K-cups brother.

Although 7-11& am/pm have good coffee.
I-10 their "turbo"/high caffine stuf with the vanilla (van bean is better than drench vanilla). Well worth the $1.29

Never drank a coffee in my life.Dont understand people needing coffee to function.

I suspect that after many years, coffee acts as purely a placebo effect. If you drink the same amount of coffee every day for 10 years, its simply not going to have a physiological effect on you any longer because your body gets used to it. Its like any drug. You have to increase the dose for a desire effect. Thus, any effect the coffee has on one's functioning is purely a placebo effect.

Most people drink coffee because its a cultural "thing." Every morning you have coffee. Its just what youre "supposed" to do.

ps - McDonalds has the best coffee.
