They got Luke's character all wrong.  I feel like this movie was a fuck you to men(especially white men) a fuck you to the original trilogy and a fuck you to the people like me that love the original trilogy.

I like Rey even though she is a Mary Sue, I understand they have to turn the franchise over to new characters.  It wouldn't have taken much to make me happy.  Instead I got a fuck you.  They wiped their ass with Luke Skywalker and that I do not forgive.

If they think I'm paying to see Episode 9 or that dumb ass Han Solo movie after this they are out of their fucking minds.  There is a lot of things I've had to walk away from the last few years and Star Wars is another one of them.

yes, as of this moment I have no interest in episode 9 because of the Luke Skywalker treatment

This diversity-promoting Rian Johnson-fagget sure made a mess out of the Luke Skywalker-character and the whole Star Wars-mythos as a whole.

Liberal SJW seacow-milking junk of Peace.

Mark Hamill was opposed to the way his character was being portrayed, yet he still agreed to appear in this movie.  It's Hamill's fault too.

Pretty sure he was under contract for all 3 movies so it's not like he could just tell them no.  In my opinion Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy are to blame for this debacle.

I wonder how much Mark was offered for the 3 movies.

Depends on your age. I'll bet you are too young to have seen 4/5/6 before the prequels. This new movie was an ADHD mess.
I grew up with 4,5 and 6.

How are they better? Better storylines? Better characters? How?
Closer to the original episodes, less CGI,not overdone on stupid,"comic"aliens like the prequels. The cartoons that were the prequels just ruined the franchise.

Finally saw it today.  The movie was not great, but not as bad a some of the reviews I've read.

The girl power stuff was definitely a factor and overwhelming at times.  The Rose character was ridiculous and not necessary at all.  The woman admiral who took over the rebel command reminded me of a Gloria Steinem fem-Nazi.  Her character was not necessary either.  The movie had too much filler and was about 30 minutes too long.  The pacing was bad, but it got better as it went.  The entire casino scene was really horrible.

I don't think they ruined Luke Skywalker, but they diminished him severely.  He should've been much more powerful by this point.  The stand off between him and Kylo was interesting, but it could've been so much better.

Snoke was very underwhelming and disappointing.  He never gave me that sense of dread that Vader or the emperor did.  They never explained who he was or where he came from.  I wanted to see him do more than force-fling Rey around the room.

The code breaker character was not necessary at all.

Most of the light saber duals were underwhelming.

I kept waiting for the big reveal about who Rey's parents were.  When Kylo said it, I was like "that's it?"  Dumb.

Overall rating:  6/10.  I thought Rogue One was a better movie.

The whole casino-scene (rich are bad etc), Rose and the crappy Rey-reveal were not necessary at all.

Funny enough, the only realistic character was Benito Mussolini Benicio del Toro's character :D

One female character i liked in Farce Awakens was Captain Phasma, which they promised eould get more screentime in Last Jedi, but they shat on her too.

What a way to treat a character with huge potential in this trilogy, instead she went the way of the neegulite... :D

This is a deflection.  Framing the conversation how he wants with a straw man argument about why a lot of fans are mad.  Completely ignoring the real reason a lot of people aren't happy.

Seriously, fuck this guy and fuck Disney.

Disney laughing all the way to the bank $$

Right now, it's impossible for Star Wars not to make money regardless of whether the movies are good or bad.  Star Wars has a built in audience of insanely passionate fans that were there long before Disney was involved.  Star Wars is iconic and people fucking love it.  The force, Jedi, lightsabers, space battles, etc.  The Star Wars brand has a tremendous amount of fan capitol and good will built into it.  Disney knows that, and that's why they paid whatever billion dollars for the franchise.  It's a license to print money and that is the root of their hubris.

This is getting interesting.

93% positive critics rotten tomotoes.

But audience reaction almost down to 50%.

From what I've seen, generally, the fans like movies more than the critics.

Now, Star Wars fans are more passionate and vested, so that's a part of it, but a disparity this large is telling.

More social justice nonsense.  From putting the male ego Po in his place...to elderly women in charge one of which literally has a pussy hat on purple hair...to commie class warfare in the casino...jeez Disney I've sipped champagne on a cruise am I a terrible person too?  Luke was cucked literally drinking milk from a breast (subtle Disney subtle), Rey requires no training in the force despite 6 movies literally focused on Jedi training but those were men and Rey is an all powerful woman, fat Rose thrown in to appease the Chinese money market, Lea can survive the vacuum of space suddenly, Ackbar disposed of with no respect, two years of Snoke origin speculation discarded...cause we all know Sith lords grow on trees...capital ships that run out of gas...first order Tie fighters that dont go out and destroy the fleeing ship shields.

And of course the very subtle 'RESISTANCE' in capital letters in the opening scrawl.  Nah....no SJW symbolism there.  Those poor huddled diversified immigrants resistance fighters at the end standing alone against Trump the First Order.

Absolute garbage.

Some people are calling it a conspiracy by a vocal minority trying to make it appear that viewers don't like the movie when in reality most people do like it.

I don't agree.  Word of mouth on this movie has not been good in my experience.  The overwhelming majority of Star Wars fans that I've heard talking about it are not happy.

I haven't found many people that like it.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the horribly lame "broom kid" scene.  I fucking hate this movie.

The original Trilogy was timeless.  This movie is very contemporary.  The millennial humor and the class warfare are two good examples.

Little fat Rose might as well have had an Antifa t-shirt on.  The purple haired Admiral Dildo might as well have be wearing a pussy hat.

And what the fuck is with these kind of movies relentlessly hammering us with the word Hope.

...and Rey's head looks a lot fatter than when they took the promotional photos for The Force Awakens.  She's been gaining ever since.  Gonna look like Rosie O'Donnell by the time episode 9 hits.

Where were the Knights of Ren we've been hearing about?

Not only did this movie lay waste to the original trilogy, it also ignored much of what The Force Awakens did.  For better or worse.
