My two cents: Many years ago, while going through a marriage slump I though I was not going to make it through, I started distancing myself emotionally from my wife. In doing so I set up a profile in match.com (I don't like to waste my time) and got many hits. Most women seemed legit. I never took it to the next level, but some seemed to be looking for another relationship after getting burned as much as I had gotten burned.

To me, the use of technology became an important aspect to pay attention to. I remember a date who was constantly checking her phone, so I addressed my annoyance on a friendly way, but she became mad right away
