Just having fun coach. You have to admit all the guys that take credit for athletes working out in their gyms are huge. One guy in my area opened up a gym in an affluent area where many of the NY Giants and NY Jets lived. Of course being the only game in town they all worked out there. Then because of all the NFL players that lifted there division I athletes started going there thinking there must be some magic going on. Now he has a striving business training division I athletes looking to go into the pros. Everyone that gets signed becomes his success story.
Coach we are two of the only conservatives on this board.
I think its fine to market that "so and so" trained with us this off-season, etc I also think it's perfectly fine for a coach to use that athlete for marketing purposes if you helped him prepare for his NFL/Pro days combine because that is something a trainer can take direct credit for, you helped that athlete get ti that next level by preparing him for testing but a trainer shouldn't take credit for the direct success of that players career unless You've worked with him year after year every off season or since at least high school.
At the High School level I'm with my kids for a full year, year after year from the end of the season to the beginning of the next...from Nov to Nov. Incoming freshman to seniors. I have the biggest influence on them as a coach because I'm with them longer and any other coach even the Head coach.
