Finally saw this.  What a boring movie.  It was so forgettable.  Reminded me of a teen Disney movie.   The shitty part is how they turned MJ into a black, Flash in a Paki and his other love interest black.  So now Spiderman is essentially tbombz.  The villain story line was lame as shit.

So Spiderman can shoot a web at a special Stark Airplane and clog the turbine getting it to blow up but he couldn't do the same to the two little fan turbines on the vulture's wings?

If the Vulture had tech to make solid walls open up that he can pass through, then why would he continue stealing the orbs to turn into weapons and sell and instead just go to banks and jewelry stores and use that same tech to sneak in and out?

The whole movie was shit.  Targeted to pre-teens, unlike the Avengers which tries to have something for everyone.

Yes, forgettable.  It was really boring.  I heard so much hype but I think it is more social media fake news bullshit.  The movie was not interesting at all.  Having to see that fat bloated version of John Favreau was disturbing.  I do have to admit that Gwenneth Paltrow looked hot as fuck.

Not sure how many spideys I've missed now.  I saw all of the one with Willem Dafoe, a slice of the one with the octapus dude, and part of one with an electrified black fella.  I'm sure they're very good films but they were made for someone who cares about Spiderman.  I'm unenthused.

When I first saw it I enjoyed it, but after I've thought about it more, rewatched Raimi's Spiderman 2, rewatched Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spiderman I'm not AS impressed with Homecoming as I initially was. 

I agree that the Flash Thompson change was weak.  At first I didn't mind it, but as the film went on I was left with "who would be initimated by this little nobody?"

Don't mind the Mary Jane thing....her race is unimportant to the character; although, the Homecoming MJ doesn't resemble classic MJ at all....the other chick in the movie was much more classic MJ....guess that's how they chose to bridge that.

All in all, I didn't think Homecoming was terrible by any stretch....I enjoyed it.  Admittedly I didn't at all consider what you said about the turbines on the jet and on Vulture....that's interesting actually and a solid point.

Saw it two weeks back. It was okay. Keaton was great as the villain but the rest of the film was fairly generic.  
Hollywood have run out of ideas so all they have now is endless reboots of comic book franchises.

Never said their weren't any plotholes. Marvel involvement made it a passable Sony movie.

I've been in and out of the Hollywood movie business most of my lifetime but still have no idea when it comers to good acting and bad acting on the silver screen,

As far as I could tell .... John Wayne was always John Wayne and Robert Downing,  Jr. always reminds of Robert Downing, Jr.

But when it comes to real live gatherings when family members and friends become someone or something other than who they really are .... it does manage to get amazing.

I honestly have found it impossible to do so myself. I can only be me when asked to be someone else ..... So, NOPE! That was not me in any of the Godfather series, nor the Rings, nor the Apes (because I was elsewhere when offered a part in the original), nor most any movie you have never seen before.(Not in front of the camera anyway.)

So with that having been said ....

What storyline or movie script would you like to see on that  silver screen which would satisfy you thoroughly.....  and what actors would you like to see involved as the principal players in that motion picture show?

Hell! You might even see your suggestion up there  on that silver screen someday! (I'll let you know beforehand.)

The movie just felt like an extended version of the old 30 minute cartoons I used to watch as a kid except no Jonah Jamieson.  It just seemed flat from start to end.  Something didn't stand out as being a Big Summer movie.

spiderman does live in queens, if i recall correctly queens i the most ethnically diverse place on the planet. As for paki flash, i think the kid is italian(i think) but if you use stuyvesant hs(one of nyc's best specialized high school) it's about 80% minorities with the majority being asian\south asian. so yeah par for the course
