Kaepernick....it's over
« on: August 06, 2017, 03:41:53 PM »
http://ijr.com/the-declaration/2017/08/940990-miami-dolphins-bring-34-year-old-qb-retirement-rather-sign-colin-kaepernick/

The Miami Dolphins have signed briefly retired former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler to a one-year, $10 million deal after their starting QB, Ryan Tannehill, suffered a likely season-ending knee injury.

Cutler's one-year contract also includes up to $3 million in incentives, NFL.com reported.

The desperate signing by the Dolphins also means that Colin Kaepernick's chances of mounting a comeback as a QB in the NFL are increasingly long. The Dolphins were reportedly looking at Kaepernick as a possible replacement for Tannehill but clearly ended up deciding against it.

Just like Ali.
Although he's a bit misguided I respect his stance. History will look favorablely on some of his positions.

Coach you're a guy who promotes well known athletes and you are pretty bold with your opinions so it's odd to hear your stance when someone with a larger platform does the same thing as you.

I'll post political stuff once in awhile on my personal FB page. But all of my other social media platforms are only about training. Nothing political. Even in the gym we rarely if ever discuss politics. It's way to sensitive of a subject. Not even when we go out

I support his right to express it.  Just not when he is being PAID by a team on the field or in uniform.  You are paid to represent the team, and when you are on the job, you do your job, and respect the flag, America - not dis it.

Whatever you want to when you are not working, I don't care.  Try that in any other job... a Disneyland employee... a movie theater employee... even in the supermarket checkout cashier, and spew your mouth and sit down, and you won't last long.

Now he can sit down whenever the flag is up there, since he isnt getting paid. I don't care.

Wow I almost agree with your post.
While working (being a quarterback) leave politics at home.
I don't have a problem with his stance I just think he was unorganized in its execution.

LOLOLOLOL, they should have kept Kaep for 1/5th the money given they will still finish the season 3-13.  Thank God I don't watch the NFL anymore.

Lost revenue? The NFL pulled in a record $ 14 billion last year.

100% Agreed.......but when you factor in the Castro t shirt he was sporting during one of his protests and the city (Miami) where you have TONS of cuban expats he was NEVER getting signed by the Dolphins and no one with half a brain could blame them

He can say whatever he wants he has that right and I do support his right. It's also the rights of the teams as a business to not have to deal it. Richard Sherman recently made a comment that he's good enough to be back in the league but that's not the argument. The other way I see it is that you have about 32 billionaires who are capitalists that might see him as biting that hands that feed him.

Probably. But right now all rosters are full. He would have to wait until a cut or an injury

Jus goes to show how your beloved NFL will sell out this country for a quarterback.

Yet, you support such an organization.

Black millionaire football players overwhelmingly go bankrupt because of "White Oppression" or some dumb shot?

So not as a result of being low IQ morons?  The White people paying them millions each year to throw a ball around and RAM themselves headfirst into other players?

Great post, Ron.  It does suck to to be forced to be politically correct though.  This is one of those rare cases where people finally collectively put their foot down to those trashing the USA, and her institutions and history.  It really can feel like we have a muzzle on at times though, not being able to utter a peep in this Zionist-ran work-a-day world.  8)
