Black millionaire football players overwhelmingly go bankrupt because of "White Oppression" or some dumb shot?

So not as a result of being low IQ morons?  The White people paying them millions each year to throw a ball around and RAM themselves headfirst into other players?

Definitely a dumb "shot".

Here he gets paid millions and then does his best to ruin it, for what?

Talk about wanting to ruin a good thing. Maybe he will donate all his money to "the motherland" just to feel good , fighting the good fight and not kneeling for the american anthem.

Makes him sleep well at night.

But when he goes broke im sure the tune will change.

Jus goes to show how your beloved NFL will sell out this country for a quarterback.

Yet, you support such an organization.

It's an individual team decision not the NFL as a whole. No one said he couldn't do what he did or say what he said. He chose to be a sell out and is paying the price

Exactly and if you cared so much about your country as you say you do, then you should not watch NFL any more, since that is indirectly supporting a player who is anti American and is part of the NFL. Maybe if more people boycotted the NFL, they would clean up their act as a whole.

But sports before country, huh?

I support his right to express it.  Just not when he is being PAID by a team on the field or in uniform.  You are paid to represent the team, and when you are on the job, you do your job, and respect the flag, America - not dis it.

Whatever you want to when you are not working, I don't care.  Try that in any other job... a Disneyland employee... a movie theater employee... even in the supermarket checkout cashier, and spew your mouth and sit down, and you won't last long.

Now he can sit down whenever the flag is up there, since he isnt getting paid. I don't care.

His job is being a quarterback, Ron.  There is nothing on his application the requires him to stand for the flag.  The only thing he did was to kneel down in silence.  In my opinion, if the NFL tolerates murder, dog fighting, drug use, domestic violence, steroid use then they shouldnt ne beny out of shape for someone kneeling.

His job is a Quarterback and he did his job.  Teams don't have to hire him but let's be serious when it comes to this matter.

You wouldn't keep a job anywhere by protesting "on the clock". It actually makes perfect sense. I'm sure Kap would have still received some blowback, even if he decided to express his feelings on his off days, but by doing so on company time, he has no legs to stand on, or knees to kneel with.

Kaepernick needs to realize that the 1st Amendment does not protect you in an invincible force field, from the rest of the world's 1st amendment rights.

The latest example of his past coming back to haunt him, is when people actually had the nerve to question why Cutler was chosen over Kap in Miami.

REALLY? Kap wore a Castro and Malcolm X shirt last year, and defended Castro's dictatorship over Cuba. Do you really think that the vast Cuban exiles that live in and around Miami, appreciated that? Colin can say and do whatever he wants. That does not stop everyone else from doing the same thing back.

Black millionaires go bankrupt for the exact same reasons why white newfound millionaires do. (See almost every lottery winner)

Money is an emotion that means different things to different people.

Getting that "paper" is just the emotions they want and the ones they want to stay away from.

You can give a person "paper" but if the emotional attachment they have or don't have to it doesn't change, they won't have the "paper" long.

The flag is just a piece of cloth.

Everyone can put whatever meaning they want on it. It's just a piece of cloth.

Coach. Why is it so important that everyone puts the same meaning on the piece of cloth as you do?

He has the freedom to express himself and protest and the owners have the freedom to express themselves by not signing him.  Freedom is a two way street.  Hate how the black guys on ESPN make the owners out to be bad guys.

That is how families, brotherhoods, loyalty, and countries are made. It has been that way since the dawn of humanity. Gangs, tribes, clubs, states.......

What do you call home? It is just a piece of cloth, but it also represents life, death, and sacrifice. It carries a little more meaning then one of my Nautica polos.

The flag represents the nation that you're part of and the single entity that unites us all in the same country.  It's just a piece of cloth right?  What if you were trapped in an africaan jungle and a bunch of negroes took you hostage but americans spot the flag on you and save you because of it.  Is it still just a piece of cloth?

I think those are the people that you have to watch out for. Mercenaries in every sense of the word. No pride, no loyalty, and no sense of selflessness.

There are a lot more people watching the NFL than boycotting. The teams rejecting him have taken a stance and the NFL isn't forcing any if them to pick Kaepernick. This was his own decision and his alone and again, he's paying the price. You boycott the NFL you're boycotting capitalism. Very few things that more un-American than boycotting Capitalism. Your activism is backwards

This might be where you separate patriotism from a "piece of cloth" and what that "piece of cloth" represents.

If he begins to play, then you should boycott the NFL if you love your country.

What the hell does capitalism have to do with anything?  Lol

The two are not related in this discussion. You'd be boycotting an organization who supports an anti-American player.

Familiarity is obviously a big factor, and I agree with Cutler over Kap just on fit alone. I was talking about the people crying about why Cutler would get picked over Kap.

Praising Castro in Miami is about as dumb as you can get.

What is crazy, is that Colin Kaepernick and Tim Tebow share some similarities.

Some fans think both have been blackballed from playing in the NFL.

Did you read the sentence below? I then said THAT THEY ARE NOT RELATED IN THIS DISCUSSION. Was that difficult to understand?  ???

Seems like you care more about money than you do your own country. You support an anti American organization and that's okay because it generates revenue. Very sad and unamerican.

Did you read what I said???  I have no problem with any teams not picking him up but my issue is the statement that he didn't do his job which he did.

And Coach, NFL ratings have been going down but that's not Colin's fault and its been going down long before then.  They've taken out the fun in the sport....penalties for hits, no celebrating in the end zone, stupid ass rules of offense, challenge flags, etc.   People watched the NFL for the same reason they watch NASCAR or Indy....they want to see crashes, injuries, and possible death.

If folks want to boycott the NFL over Kaepernick then so be it.  If owners want to shun him because of his behavior so be it.  If Kaepernick wants to continue his personal protest so be it.  If Miami fans want to claim racism over Kaepernick so be it.

I don't agree with Kaepernick and if he remains in the NFL in some capacity so be it.  I watch the NFL for the game of football not Colin Kaepernick.  Most likely there are other players, coaches, owners, etc....with opinions just like Kaepernick, but they haven't voiced them.

I personally can't stand Richard Sherman in interviews...can't stand him.  Although, he's one of the best corners (if not the best) in the league and elevates game play.  Don't like his attitude, but love to watch him play.

If it turned out the majority of the NFL felt like Kaepernick I'd stop watching pro ball, but that isn't the case at all....not even close.   Anti-American opinions can found all across America LOL in all sorts of industries.

The reality is despite his opinions Kaepernick is a good quarterback....not one of the best in the league, but good nonetheless.

If I started expressing the opinions Kaepernick does in my workplace I'd get shown the door LOL....and leadership here has every right to do that.

Look at a player like Ndamukong Suh...notorious dirty player and repulsive to every team he plays against if he hurts one of their own.   Still an excellent DT and many would confess that if he was suddenly brought onto their team for defensive support they'd be super excited even if they were previously repulsed by his "dirty tactics".....all perspective...fickle, inconsistent perspective to achieve a specific end.
