the only thing that irks me about the whole anti-gun thing is the politicians and celebutards who whine about guns most often leave out the part where they have bodyguards and/or carry some kind of weapons themselves

Yes, they advocate for mass immigration from nations full of hostile, primitive, unemployable, violent barbarians that would love nothing more than to rape our women and cut our throats.

Simultaneously the elite want to restrict the ability of law abiding citizens to defend themselves, their wives, children and property from this violent underclass being imported into our neighborhoods.

The elite will never have to deal with the consequences of the policies they endorse because they live in ivory towers and have armed security everywhere they go.  Convenient.

Owning a gun means you have to shoot someone ???
Have you ever stared down the barrel into another mans eyes?

I think shooting someone is the last thing most legal gun owners ever want to do. A gun is simply another tool. Other tools include situational awareness, locked doors, lighting, security cameras, hand to hand combat, less lethal weapons (tazer), and fleeing. If none of these do the trick it's nice to have a gun as a last resort.

I don't believe your post to be sincere nor do I believe you actually..."made a point", but I'll play along.

I am not the arbiter of who is and is not mentally ill.  Although it's an imperfect system, we have to rely on medical professionals and the courts for that.  There is a spectrum of mental illness and I don't belive it should all be treated the same.

PTSD and Paranoid Schitzophrenia are not the same yet are both forms of mental illness.  Limiting any person's constitutional rights is something that I don't take lightly and I think every benefit of the doubt should be afforded to a law abiding citizen.

If you don't like the ad hominem attacks then tough titties because there's more coming your way any minute now.

AN AGGRESSIVE PERSON LIKE YOURSELF SHOULD BE BANNED FROM OWNING A GUN.

When the War pops off you'll be pooping in your diaper and begging for an aggressive person like me to come and save your ass.

How strict should a background check be? Already have to wait 10 days to "cool down" even though I might own several guns already. What gun show loophole are you talking about? Out here in CA it's illegal to sell a firearm without going through an FFL, so there is no gun show loophole, it's a bullshit scare tactic blown up by politicians, same with stricter background checks.
I'm all for the cool down period. But yes 10 days is excessive. If a sick person is going to murder after a week, more days isn't going to stop him.
