All these anti-gun nuts...
Every time I pose that scenario to them I never get a valid response.
Nobody wants a gun..until you NEED a fucking gun.
Sometimes it's the only answer.
Violence= Violence.
I'm gonna die trying to save my loved ones.
I'm not running for shit.
I wouldnt want a dad that is not willing to take a bullet for me.
I'd want a dad that had the common fucken sense to realize that you cant talk your way out of violence.

^ did you not have a dad growing up?

Maybe you're like the slutty girls with daddy issues... always starved for sex with men.

Hmm...

Fairy tale? Are you saying that it would never happen? Even if it's unlikely---its still a possibility.
Doesn't have to be as extreme as I said but home invasions happy EVERY SINGLE DAY

"*An estimated 3.7 million burglaries occurred each year on
average from 2003 to 2007.

*A household member was present in roughly 1 million burglaries
and became victims of violent crimes in 266,560 burglaries.

https://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/ascii/vdhb.txt
As i said in my first post I ccw..so yes, it's legal.
I dont know WHERE on earth you got that it was the first lesson taught in the training that it's too late once somebody pulls a gun on you.
That is simply a LIE.
Sure--chances are it's not going to end well for one or both of you.
But NOWHERE in the training so they say the fight is OVER.
You made that up.
I'm not leaving my daughter or loved one to deal with an armed attacker.

you forgot to mention some key points

Offenders were known to their victims in 65% of violent
burglaries

Overall, 61% of offenders were unarmed when violence occurred
during a burglary while a resident was present.

Households composed of married couples without children
experienced the lowest rates of both types of burglary

Households with a white head of household were somewhat less
likely than those with a black head of household to experience
a burglary while a household member was present.

Higher income households experienced lower rates of burglary

don't be poor and black + dont know any poor black folks and you'll probably be fine

1. I was responding to your scenario. In said scenario you walk in on the situation. Out of the million cases when a person was home how many times did someone  showed up and save the person? It must be at least  10% of the time? 100,000 people saves their family.

Home invasions happen, one recently occurred near me. Do what you need to do to protect your home.

NFL star Sean Taylor was killed by a knife in a home invasion. He owned guns.

2. My point is correct, though worded poorly, you want your gun drawn first. If you're going to have it out you'd better be ready to use it.

I'm sure you're an expert marksmen with ice running through your veins. You could easily take out armed criminals because of your training.

What are the numbers for an armed citizen taking out gunmenm

That said if I had a gun and was being held up I'd hope I'd pull it.

I've carried a 45 on my hip for the majority of my adult lifetime and would do so again under similar Florida circumstances.

Serious question for you looting experts ......

What does the law have to say about shooting looters? I assume each state is different.

Australia is better, don't need to own guns to feel safe.

You don't "need" them in America either.

I'm no legal expert, but I would guess that you just can't shoot a looter unless they posed a real threat to someone.

Only an idiot would think that you can just randomly shoot looters with zero repurcussions from the law.

What are the laws on keeping the looters as prisoners in your basement? Legally speaking are they allowed to be tortured mentally and sexually?

Luckily no. However if need be I would. Without question in fact.

No--I'm not an expert marksman but I do indeed have ice running thru my veins when it comes to my loved ones. Why you don't have the willingness to protect yourself and your family is beyond me.
I'm not going out like that. I fight back.
The fact that you said you "hope" you would pull out your firearm is alarming. Don't you wanna live?
