ex-military friend of mine said you can clearly hear 2 guns firing at the same time, and sounds like its coming from different locations in the videos

can any other getbig gun experts notice that ?

Yes sounds like overlap 5:59

People are assuming it's automatic gun fire but he was probably using a crank if it indeed was fully auto than he either has a class 3 license which is doubtful or somehow had it converted. 100 round drum and a crank is what I'm guessing.

or he modified  (being a criminal before becoming a murderer).

Agreed.  An AR or AK can be converted to full auto with a dremel tool, in about 2 minutes.  If this guy knew what he was doing, he may have had 10 converted auto rifles.   :-\

This may have already been mentioned  but it seems a bit strange to me that hotels and casinos and large assembly halls are not equipped with some form of detection device to avoid this sort of shit.

I did not attend the Floyd/Conor fight but I am pretty damn sure that everyone had to walk through a device to prevent the admission of weapons of any sort.

People travel with rifles all the time.  Why shouldn't they be allowed to take them up to their room?  Avid hunters have 2 to 5 thousand dollar rifles.  Are they supposed to leave them in their vehicles?   ???  I see no problem with taking firearms into hotels.

Shame on every single American coward gun supporter. You idiots, biggots and cowards let this happen with your oh so prescious "right to bare arms".

Shame on all of you. You (once again) have the blood of many innocent and beautiful lives on your hands :(

Sounded like full-auto. Could be been bump-firing with a simple stock conversion. No FFL needed.

Also sounded like 2 guns firing at the same time... Maybe from desperate locations. Couldve been the sound bouncing back though as well.. But definitely sounded like overlapping fire iat certain times

Also, sounded like AK fire. Not AR/223

The gun control morons tend to forget there's a very large country just to the south of us called Mexico where all guns are illegal as well as the bullets.

Look how that's been working out.

It's also safe for the populace considering you're much more likely to victimize people than most.

What an idiot comment. The killings in Mexico also make use of ... you guessed it ... GUNS!

If we collect all the guns, punish more severely for possession, and start imposing more death penalties for crimes, this would obviously help. Being liberal pussies and to weak to enforceme anything will not.

I sure do, especially in a place like Vegas where drugs and booze are a common factor. At the very least they could check them into a secure lockdown safe somewhere with hotel security.

Unacceptable. No one should ever feel scared to go to Vegas but after seeing how easily that guy was able to smash out that window even I have my reservations. Trump won't even acknowledge this guy is a terrorist ffs.

you ain't milling that trigger pocket w a dremel on an ar. But someone with knowhow and a mill cam do it but again you are a criminal when you do this. And then you need the coorect trigger parts to do the conversion. Not impossible but difficult.

You obviously don’t understand America. I am personally for some forms of gun control but you will have a literal civil war on your hands if you try to take Americans’ guns away. People’s feelings about guns are as deeply held as religion here in a lot of cases.

It's not that hard.  Dremel off the disconnector, and you're full auto.  Takes about 30 seconds.

Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock bought more than 30 weapons and had 23 firearms in his hotel room as he carried out the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, Fox News learned Monday.

The deadly cache included converted, fully automatic AR-15 style assault rifles with high capacity magazines, according to a law enforcement source. The weaponry suggests Paddock passed numerous FBI background checks.

Police said late Monday they recovered 23 firearms from Paddock's hotel room. Weapons found were both .308 and .223 caliber, Fox News has learned.

The owner of a gun store in Utah says Paddock visited the store multiple times this year and purchased a shotgun after successfully passing a federal gun background check.

Dixie GunWorx owner Chris Michel recalled that Paddock said that he was new to the area and was visiting local gun shops. Paddock purchased the shotgun in February and last visited the store in St. George in the spring. The store is located approximately 40 minutes from where Paddock lived in Mesquite, Nevada.

Michel says he spoke with Paddock to get to know him and make sure there were no signs that he should not be allowed to buy a gun. "There were no red flags," Michel said he concluded.

Country music star Jason Aldean was on stage Sunday night at the Route 91 Harvest Festival when Paddock opened fire across the street from inside the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, killing at least 59 people and injuring more than 520.

Paddock killed himself as police stormed his hotel room.

One witness told a local television station that he heard "hundreds of shots." The gunfire was rapid and was reportedly confused with firecrackers.

Criminal defense attorney and frequent Fox News guest describes running for his life after seeing Jason Aldean drop his guitar and sprint off stage.Video
Brian Claypool was eyewitness to Las Vegas attack

"It sounded like a machine gun," one vendor told Fox News. "It sounded like more than one machine gun."

The .223 is known as a typical AR-15 round and is common in small game hunting. The .308 is a heavy, long range bullet, meant for big game like elk and black bears. It is commonly used in an AR-10 rifle.

Fully automatic weapons are illegal, but machinists can convert them.

There is one unlikely exception. A machine gun purchased prior to 1986 is eligible for a license from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which issued a tax stamp. But those stamps are almost impossible to acquire.

A search of Stephen Paddock's home turned up at least 19 additional firearms, explosives and several thousand rounds of ammunition, Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said Monday night. Several pounds of ammonium nitrate, a material used to make explosives, were found in Paddock's car.

Press is totally hush on political affiliation and motive. It's interesting how information is so selectively released. But we already "know" he isn't involved in international terror.  ::)
