I used an M&P for the last few years of my career. Started out with a Beretta, went Glock for a couple years, went back to Beretta then the department mandated everyone have the same weapon and bought the M&P's. As long as it fires when I pull the trigger and I can get a good grouping I really don't care what gun it is. As a off duty carry I had the Glock 27 I think it was and I found it too thick. Went to a small Beretta 9000 and stuck with it.

I suppose when there is ample evidence he had two rooms. It's been my experience, the news media wants all the details as soon as possible. They love a scoop. Often times they will run with a story prematurely and get things wrong.
The police have no interest in covering up details, but they weigh what they can release without hindering the investigation, with getting the information out to the public. I've seen on more than one occasion the police, hell, my department, release details shortly after an event, trying to appease the public, and then later have to recount that information. In every  case, there was a certain segment of the citizens that immediately cry "cover up". So it's always a risk shortly after an incident.
There may have been two shooters, there may not have been. Lack of windows broken out would indicate if there was, it wasn't from that casino or at least the rooms. But whatever the truth, I have no doubt as that information becomes clear, we will know it when it's appropriate to let it out.

Mr. Garzon, who was staying in 31-135, directly beneath Mr. Paddock, said security guards knocked on his door around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday and asked him to turn down his music, country songs. When he asked where the complaint was coming from, pointing out that the nearest rooms on either side were far away, the security guard said, “It’s the guest above you.”

They turned the music down, but had another visit from different security guards half an hour later. The man had called to complain again. Mr. Garzon turned the music off. It wasn’t until the early hours of Monday that Mr. Garzon realized Mr. Paddock had been the complainer.
