many of u r making light of this, when in reality... its terribly dangerous. whites, as a group, have allowed themselves to be villainized to a severe degree.... that cake is baked. when a group is demonized to such an extent... there is only one end result.
Just because a cake has been baked doesn't mean I have to eat it. I know plenty of people of every shade that think stupid is not just black and white. No one I personally know would allow such anti-human behavior. This is just a movie. Like the original "Shaft", you'll have a group of idiots that think its a license to misbehave but reality is, it ain't.
I enjoyed the lead actor's portrayal of James Brown and think he may do a good job with this one. Hollyweird will play to their audience, but fuck Hollyweird. A film can have an outstanding opening weekend but fade to normalcy in a week or two. From what I've read here and elsewhere, the film makes out more conservative than one might imagine.
If some adult male thinks wearing a dress to a movie makes him Black Manther, he's not thinking. Kids on the other hand, will enjoy the film for what it is. A comic they don't have to read. Some of them will make more of it than they should and their parents may encourage that nonsense but it will still be nonsense and at the end of the day there's no such country or person as portrayed in this film.
Of course if we take into account that a supposed adult like Wiggs believes himself to be Jewish and the earth flat, then yes, Houston we have a problem. But it's not a permanent one and it will fade with time.
