It's not, but we're talking about Kevin Levrone here. The man weighed in his low 220's by his own account at the 2016 Mr. Olympia. I realize the show's still almost 3 weeks away and he can cut down a lot in that time, but he is 40 pounds heavier now than he was in 2016 and knowing the type of bodybuilder Kevin was back in the day, it is a bit promising.

Lot of stress putting that weight on and doing the mgs and ius required at his age. It his personal journey, just hope he accomplishes whatever goal hes set out to, as he was already a great bodybuilder back 10-15 years ago, from my position everything to lose and nothing to gain in doing this unless hes as competitive as he was back then. Last year he looked like the old lost guy on stage. Madness.

Kevin should drop to 190 and do a Kevin Endorsed Series where he highlights up and coming bodybuilders and gives them his seal of approval. Thus, keeping him in the spotlight and hits in social media.

Remember last year how flex was excited because he was so lean being far from the show........

Best wishes Kevin,  but I recognize the hype train, I'm not boarding.

He claimed 240’s but when he didn’t place well, changed it to 220’s

Hopefully this is it for him, he needs to spend time with his young son and stop jeopardizing his health

I fear for his health at 53

Waste of time. He's doing this to push his supplement line. Nothing else.

Sad.

Any more stress that someone like Dexter? In the past 15 years who do you think has been on longer and taken more?

Maybe steroids aren't as bad for you as one would think. I know that Dexter is not a huge dose user and does take breaks. Everyone is so worried about Kevin but most have no clue what he uses. He mainly does short bursts. Even he has stated that he would never stay on all year long because he can reach peak size in a matter of months.

He would look great at a shredded 190 and he should do something like that instead of all this comeback bs.

I know Dan will love this vid of Kevin sporting a pony tail.

You have to understand - with doing something comes legions of folk like the people in this thread - legions of people who are so troubled by their own comparative mediocrity that instead of picking themselves up and conducting their own quests for excellence, instead - they hold court on the internet, trying to convince themselves and each other that the acts of others always have some balancing negativity that will ultimately ensure they are doing no better than any other human being in life.

You can't change that.  You can only not get trapped by the same process.

You can't change that.  You can only not get trapped by the same process.

I'm happy that I lived up to my potential - or as much of my potential as I could have lived up to without risking potentially irreversible damage to my physical or mental health - in a few areas: math, strongman at 170-lb, and reproducing my DNA.

In hindsight, I'm not sure if I would have done it differently.  I don't know for certain what genetic cards I hold, and I don't want to take that chance.  Others do.  Call it being more motivated, or possibly being less intelligent.  Everyone has to decide these things for themselves.

In hindsight, I would have probably thrown my hat into welterweight MMA fighting, because as I see it - weight classes help athletes prevent some of the health problems that bigger athletes unfortunately prevent.

I would not have wanted to compete in open class strongman under any circumstance.  Screw that - especially assuming we do only live once and are not computer simulations, which - after looking at the latest UFC video game - is looking more and more likely to me that we are just in that sort of experience.  That said, such an existential model allows for infinite regression - but I digress.

Why do you (and many other of you) assume that steroids are somehow very dangerous?

Just curious, as it doesn't seem like these guys are dropping like flies (these who go to unimaginable extremes still manage to stretch it for a long time before they croak), tens and hundreds of them are doing it year after year, decade after decade and still manage to get on the stage looking like freaks while remaining healthy enough to continue. To me it does seem like all these "dangers" are well overhyped.
