The reason I end up addressing these tall tales is because Im getting the feeling that people actually believe them due to the fact they go basically unchallenged.
Can people please put my mind at ease/or not and confirm if they believe him or not...
I would start a poll but cant seem to be able to...
You need to understand what silence in response to his stories is
It's the sound of people not giving a shit.
Even if they comment.. they still probably do not give a shit.
The less time you have (and the older you get - to a certain degree), the more you realise that when you enter into the world of a suspected troll, liar or exaggerator, if you spend time contemplating the truth of their words, you've wasted valuable life. None of these people have any power in the world when you do not react to their words, trust their words or spend any excess time contemplating them. You can still read them and think about what they are saying, just don't bother yourself too much on the truth of it all. They might be telling the truth. It really doesn't matter. It won't affect the words.
So for instance, whenever I read something by ESF - I simply do not give a flying fuck about what is true. If I challenge it, I have already wasted life on a pointless crusade to establish truth of text on an internet message board.
In fact, I did once challenge it and it was as I expected, an exaggerative story that I have come to expect from people who are constantly wanting to tell good stories. But that shit is a dime a dozen and no big deal.
I'm sure many people here have the same mindset. There is a point where you should all just simply not give a fuck. Might be true, might not be, might be full of lies.. who gives a shit? Nothing will come of it, regardless.
For the record, it seems to me that ESF just wants to tell good stories. Even if he is a 100% liar, I don't seem him as Humberto or whatever that fella was, trying to derive much ego from it. I can't see how it's a brag to have a hole in your thigh. I can't see how it is a brag to be a jailbird. It's hard to imagine him gaining favour from being known as a junkie.
