Okay, I may have not gotten your gist. I know or I understand someone needing 300 -500 grams a day that shakes are absolutely needed. But when I am trying to lose body fat I find drinking shakes don't take care of the hunger issues.. chicken breast or lean meat does. but yes, again if you are eating enormous amounts of protein shakes have to come into play

I am on a very high protein diet right now. 200-250 grams in shakes and then anything I want between  8-9pm.  It doesn't even feel like a diet restriction because I know I will have a period of the day where I can eat whatever I'm craving.  Most days I don't even choose the "worst" option. I'm mostly eating fish , and some days all vegetables. My main vices are desserts. I ALWAYS have a dessert. No sodas though.

Nobody needs to eat upwards of 300+ grams a day everyday of protein to gain muscle tissue.

Then why are so many people that you see training religiously in the gym not getting progressively larger as time goes on? This lack of muscle growth is mostly attributed to their poor diets. If you want your time in the gym to count you should increase your protein intake up to 2 g X body weight. So if you are 200lbs and are trying to climb to 220lbs you should be eating around 450 g of protein a day.

How the hell do you eat for $10 a day?

meal #1
eggs, oatmeal (some chia seeds, quinoa, flax seed)
meal #2
shake + 1 tablespoon MCT oil
meal 3
1 sweet potato 6-8 ounce red meat
meal 4
shake + 1 tablespoon MCT oil
meal 5 chicken breast, avocado + bag of veggies
meal 6
eggs + bag of veggies

prolly $10-$12 a day right now for my diet.  - then snacks are cheap fresh fruit. strawberries were .77 todays - good for 2 days of snacks


i eat super lean right now but in social settings it is a different story
