the thing that amazes me is that police are actually patrolling the beaches with breathalysers! i read a bit on new jersey beach/alcohol laws, apparently they have alcohol checkpoints, where everyone has their possessions searched for alcohol before going on the beach. You can also have your driving license suspended if caught drinking on the beach, even if you had no intention of driving.
