Also on their wishlist: Abolition of ICE, DHS's law enforcement arm for illegals already in the country (compared to CBP/Border Patrol, that focus on borders and legal visitors), amnesty for all aliens who enter the country without submitting to an inspection at a legal port of entry, reuniting illegal alien families (already done by the Trump administration), cessation of the "zero" tolerance policy (started under Clinton, and also recently suspended by the Trump government), and the immediate release of anyone in DHS custody (meaning, people with criminal records).
There were over 700 marches across the country, on the coasts as well as in conservative cities & states like Wyoming.
A question arises: If these people entered Honduras, Bolivia, El Salvador, or any number of other countries from which these aliens have fled (mostly for spurious reasons), would their federal immigration police, military border units, or regular police allow them to enter the country without inspection as well? Moreover, would masses of people from those countries pick up picket signs and create mass demonstrations through their respective countries to exhort their government to release these illegal White Americans into the general population without referral for prosecution and/or deportation? If not, then why do (mostly White & Hispanic) Americans feel the need to do it? The rest of the world is pretty much baffled at this degree of self-hatred and anti-Americanism...by the people that are born there. Also: How do they justify this proposal to people who have waited in line for years to immigrate to the country legally, such as someone with a brother sponsoring them or someone waiting years for a company to petition them for permanent residency? Isn't that unfair in the extreme?
