It's a moot point because a guy like me ( now) would never run for office.
At this point in life, I lack the desire or stamina to run for anything.
Using your example, I end up  taking breaks from this goofy forum.

2. I already knew  most here don't like or respect me.

3. I just tweeked the thread title and removed "against me" to make it a more general political debate topic.

I'm not sure Getbig is the best place for folks to get respect and be liked.  -At least not publicly.

I've got a much easier and quicker system that allows them to keep those online tools and barriers and still lose any argument or discussion instantly. You get an excess quantity of examples of it in this very forum, daily.

In all modesty, I've been asked to run for public office a few times in my life.
I briefly considered it, but knew I didn't want to do all the tedious work it takes to campaign.
I'd do fine on public speeches and working the crowd at an event, but thats it.

I have no desire to fund raise and do the tedious work required to campaign.

Politics aside, it takes a lot of desire and endurace to campaign for political office.

I wouldn't be willing to go thru the process. Plus, I'm honest enough to admit it.

I am an Oregon Labor Candidate School dropout. I quit for pretty much the same reasons you gave for not running for public office.

Since you've called him out with factual accounts of his recent actions, he will next enter the "denial" phase, which is self-explanatory.
(ex: "I never changed the title. I never altered or deleted any posts. It must have been one of the mods.")


Soon, we will see the pouting phase in which he whines that everyone here is against him - even though he just said it doesn't matter.
Then, he'll swear he's never posting on Getbig again.

I may come and go with the seasons, but I'm way past the point of taking this forum too personal.
Sometimes I glean a bit of insight mixed in with a lot of laughter .
