HaHa! I actually took the time to read this. It's been pouring rain all day so I'm house bond. But great vid. Hawaii is overwhelmingly Liberal and it shows. In the State House, it's 46 Democrats versus 5 Republicans and in the Senate, it's 24 Democrats versus 1 Republican. My kind is rare and despised so I use to being in the minority and fighting the good fight. But proof is in the pudding. Whatever Liberals/Leftist touch they make it worse. Whether is schools, housing, military, universities, employment, law enforcement... anything and everything. I remember reading about not having to have to prevent an ID to get into the Federal Building and pick you your Social Security check.

A Socialist State with the largest percentage of homelessness in the Union and the most expensive State to live in. I'm here because this is where I was born, my family is here, and it's a beautiful place to live if you can afford it. I don't have expensive taste but get by OK and I'm happy in shorts and slippers eating at lunch wagons (and McDonalds) as long as I can breathe the fresh open air and be surrounded by friendly locals full of the Aloha spirit.

But, a lot like California, this could be truly heaven on earth if it wasn't for the government. Try starting a business here. Even Trader Joe's, whose stores are Hawaiian theme, don't come here because it's too expensive.

Pay attention old man, I already said that all the tables and chairs that use to be there were removed because the homeless take it over and make it their residence.

You don't live in Hawaii. It's heavily influenced by the Asian culture. Chinese, Japanese, Thais, Filipinos...sitting on the ground, squatting on the ground is very common. You might consider it indecent but it doesn't bother anybody or infringe on their freedoms. Yet you are very tolerant of someone standing in front of you staring with their penis expose. You seem more bothered by someone sitting off to the side of the sidewalk eating a sandwich than someone exposing himself in public.

What a perverse world view you have. And it is a political issue. The very fact that we have people out there that think they can behave that way and get away with it is because of the political culture. One of the most hallowed right of a Conservative, ranking just under freedom of speech, is the right to own firearms -- and as many as they want. Notice the lady sitting right under the street light. And this is in broad daylight. You get more people sitting on the ground as the businesses start to close at 7:30. That early because that's when the homeless comes out as the workday comes to an end. You can see it's a business section in town and no way would they be tolerated during the day.

That McDonald's is actually a two-story building. You order downstairs and there's a stairway upstairs where they have their tables and chairs. They close that seating section at 7:00 PM even though they still take orders up to 7:30. So many find themselves in a situation as I did. Believe me, if I knew that before I got my food I would have gone elsewhere. Now when you look at that picture, look off to the left. See that bit of the "M" for the McDonald's symbol. Now see where the sign that reads L&L is. Between that is a space just behind the "M" symbol, in the picture it just looks like a shadow between the two businesses, where there is kind of a small walkway. Just two steps. There's a door there that people on the top floor of the McDonalds can exit. Well, since it was closed and out of way, meaning if I was sitting there right now in that picture you still wouldn't be able to see me. That's where I was. Tucked snugly away between two buildings sitting on a step minding my own business taking full advantage of the rapidly closing anabolic window.

They have long gotten rid of any tables and chairs along the walkway at Fort Street Mall (an outside mall because the homeless take it over. So with nowhere else to go I just find a vacant out of way space and sit cross-legged on the ground.

And I want to thank GetBig for keeping my mind engaged and entertained on this stormy day in Hawaii. I love these kinds of debates where we have a specific issue and get to see how people view and interpret the world and its events. There is a very real divide in this country and it was clearly put on display right here. I couldn't ask for a better example to represent the Left than ratherbebig. He was just an unforeseen blessing that just came out of nowhere. Never did I suspect from his previous posts what really was behind the persona. My main purpose is not agreement but clarity. To present the arguments and the consequences and let people decide.

When I say the Right is currently losing the battle is because there are real changes being made right now, today, in our society, that I believe is destroying it. But I am in Hawaii, a State solely, only, run by Democrats and Liberals so I may be a little bit more sensitive. I put on a brave face but it's not easy being in a persecuted minority where if someone finds, or even suspects, you are a Trump supporter and a Republican you are view as not just wrong, uninformed, and ignorant, but you are just an evil person. I don't accuse the Left of that. I believe they have good intentions. Just like Communism had good intentions. Just like Nazi's had good intentions.

My worry is that people take this country for granted. They think things will just all work out in the end. They don't fight like the Left does. They don't pay attention to what is happening to Europe or what happened in Venezuela.

But nothing is easier to fight when you have a lot of support and know you are going to win. But I will always fight the good fight and stand up for what I believe. God willing. That's right! You heard me! I said "God willing".

he hasn't been to that area for decades but he knows mcds removed all outside seating a couple years ago, he knows what time the homeless people come onto the streets around there ...though he hasn't been there in decades...oh yes, conveniently the person on the till gave him a quick run down of the area and recent habits of the homeless around there, while he was paying for his food

he sat cross legged on the floor outside.....when normal people express their horror that one would sit on the nasty pavement eating food...it now changes to he was sitting cross legged up stairs...because you always see people sitting cross legged up stairs  

he's asked why he didn't just call the police when the guy exposed himself....oh yes, he did call them earlier..... and they weren't interested....like anyone calls the police because a homeless person asks them for some food...and then just stays sitting there eating  

another thing i don't understand. how did the homlesss person know he had another burger? don't mcds put all your food in a paper bag? if you sit down at a table sure you take all the food out and put in the table. but if you were to go outside and sit on the floor and eat 2 burgers, why would you discard the bag? surely you would take one burger out the bag to eat and leave the other in the bag till you're ready for it....
