No, the state of Utah has to prove he is guilty. She brought her story to the local police, who believed her enough to get DNA, write a complaint(s), and charge him. It's up to Rhoden to offer evidence to clear himself.
Even though he may have texts indicating the woman was "obsessed" with him, that won't matter in court. It will prove she knew him, and had reason to visit the hotel room.......those texts will only serve to set the stage for what she alleges. They might see a huge man taking advantage of a woman that likes him. It won't matter for the actual charge, either. Being obsessed with someone doesn't give them the right to assault you. Whether it happened like that or not will be tougher to disprove than to dispell.
