2018 Mr. Olympia champ Shawn Rhoden was recently accused of sexual assault of a female bodybuilder. However, the story has gotten another layer, as reports defending Rhoden are coming in.

To recap the case thus far, Shawn Rhoden was accused of raping a female bodybuilder in a Utah hotel, at the end of 2018. According to reports, the female in question was forced into a situation where she was uncomfortable but could not leave. Finally, when Rhoden let her go, she claims to have gone directly to authorities. Here, she was administered a rape kit test, where DNA, and lacerations were found.

Despite this news, the case is developing further. According to a report from Ron Harris from Muscular Development, Rhoden was able to pass two different types of lie detector tests.

This occurred shortly after the incident. In both instances, Rhoden maintained that the events were consensual in nature. However, the source of the alleged information is currently unknown.

“I spoke with someone who is very close to the case. I can not say who. But trust me, this is someone on the inside. This information is 100% accurate and reliable.

Shawn Rhoden did take not one, but two lie detector tests shortly after this alleged incident that occurred last October, and he passed both of them.

He took a standard polygraph, and he took a new type of lie detector test, used in various law enforcement circles, known as EyeDetect.

This is an interesting development with Shawn Rhoden.

EyeDetect is a new type of polygraph that uses subtle eye movements to detect lies. This compares to the normal polygraph, using heart rate and breathing. While it is important to note that neither test is admissible in court, passing both tests does count for something.

Rhoden was supposed to attempt to defend his Mr. Olympia title, at this year’s event.

Yet, following this recent case, it was announced that his ability to participate in Mr. Olympia is revoked until further notice. While one should be sure to remember he is innocent until proven guilty, it is good to see action being taken.

Where does it say she pled guilty to wire fraud? The only legal document I saw posted was about another couple with the same last name. And yes. It says later that she and her husband were also charged with 9 others "in related cases". That could just mean that she made a statement to a lender that her sister or brother-in-law (or whatever the relationship) was good for the loan, confirmed that they had assets that they didn't or a net worth much higher than it was etc. I'd like to see a federal crimes blog posting about her case and what she was charged with. Is that out there?

It does not. I am also wondering why it is out there like that? Also, as for the lie detector tests, this thread is for LEGAL details or actual factual statements, not hearsay.

If the site I read about the wire fraud is the same/only one everyone else has seen (federalcrimesblog.com), it's a wordpress blog where federal defense attorneys go to make posts and ultimately advertise their services, nothing at all official about it. I'm sure it's correct in listing this girl as having pled guilty to something related to this wire fraud case, and I'm sure whatever it was specifically can be found somewhere as it should be a matter of public record. But if it is something like I mentioned above, lying to a lender for her relative, of course she pled guilty because her punishment surely was a slap on the wrist. And of course it's unethical and illegal, but I wonder how many people would tell their sister or brother that they wouldn't confirm their $XXXXX net worth or specific (nonexistent) assets when a random banker called for the reference. Unless you're a legal mind or intellectual, odds are you think more about who it is you're being asked to lie to. And since you immediately think "faceless stranger who I'll never speak to again", you'll probably fib for your loved one.
