If I recall correctly the original synthol crap was pretty much like a lighter version of PMMA. And it was slow to disperse through the body. (if at all). I remember when Shawn Ray accused Flex of getting calf implants, there were magazine articles comparing the before and after photos of Flex's calves and there was a noticeable size difference. There was also a noticeable difference in the AFTER photos that when Flex was trying to flex his calves, not much was happening in that department. Some people have nice hard calves and when they flex, the muscle jumps and splits into a hard diamond shape. It seemed that he simply never flexed his calves at all. The contraction was pretty weak.
