mr scott great point pathetic is being kind.
Even for partial reps, those 275-lb seated overhead presses were ok. My max push press was 230-lb, and it was about a 7-second grind to lock it out. That included leg drive, but I was never particularly efficient with my foot positioning, so it was mostly shoulders. My presses were pretty good for my size, but I was never anything close to 275-lb, even for partial reps.
I recall Nasser El Sonbaty doing 365-lb behind-the-neck presses in Arnold's encyclopedia in 1999 at Chapter's [big book chain in Canada] and being floored by it. In hindsight, it may have been fake weights. There were a lot of good pictures in that encyclopedia that motivated me to start working out in 2000.
I really have to dig deep and get that motivation back. I got to 213-lb and fat in 2018, but am happy to report I dropped 40-lb, and am back in the low 170's, and have been holding steady since June 1st. Nice to get that monkey off my shoulders, and hopefully it's here to stay.
