Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, turnips, and bok choy contain compounds that inhibit absorption of iodine by the thyroid.
Collard greens, sweet potatoes, rhubarb, beans, coffee, tea, fiber-containing whole-grain products and wheat bran, seeds, nuts, and soy isolates have compounds that inhibit calcium absorption.
