You are leaving out factual data proving HIIT burns far more fat on the days post session. Only high intensity cardio does this, steady state just burns so many cals per session performed. I thought you knew this stuff its old now. My boy fukkenshredded pioneered HIIT for the fitness community 20 years ago.
Sure I know about it, EPOC and all that. There's also the argument that EPOC is fairly minor in fact and not worth calculating, but I don't remember the specifics so could be wrong.
I'm only saying that the idea that to burn fat you need to do low intensity cardio, otherwise it pretty much JUST burns carbs is incorrect. For example the faster you walk on the treadmill the more fat you burn, it's only the ratio of fat to carbs burned that changes. I remember Bob Chicherillo saying anything more than 3.5mph for 45 minutes just catabolizes muscle... ridiculous.

Cardio is good for body composition but if you know how many calories you burn it's a lot of work for fairly small effects. Easier to cut down on food intake. Not to mention cardio will increase appetite so if you don't track strictly you will probably not lose much fat/weight.
This guy told me he did up to 9 hours of cardio/walking for his first show here lol. And Bob Chick says you burn muscle after 45 minutes. Not saying 9 hours is smart but this fella never got into this kind of condition since, doing the usual hour a day or whatever.
