IF I was to do something like that, do you think I would come to getbig and admit to that crime? I personally know 3 other people that get former residents ballots at their address. One of them being a married democrat couple. Your tiny little piece of the gated community is not representative of the vast majority of the country.
The point is not how many ballots are missent or how often voter lists are purged of inactive voters. The point is that the majority of folks are not stupid or dishonest enough to risk forging ballots.
Have you or any of those other folks you know marked these ballots with the notation that the person is no longer at this address?
I stopped getting ballots for my wife in the same year that she passed. I believe her death certificate triggered this happening.
Oregon: Not later than five business days after receiving a report of death under ORS 432.133 (Mandatory submission and registration of reports of death), a county registrar designated under ORS 432.035 (County registrars) shall furnish to the county clerk of that county the name, age, date of birth and residence address of the person for whom the registrar has received the report of death. If the person was registered to vote in the county, the county clerk immediately shall cancel the registration of the person.
ORS 247.570 – Notice of deaths to Secretary of State and county clerk; effect of notice
Voter Registration Cancellation: The California Department of Health ( CDPH) routinely sends this statewide vital data to the Secretary of State. The VoteCal system cross-references these death records and shares updates directly with your county Registrar of Voters to proactively cancel the deceased person’s voter registration.
Apparently, there are a lot of unreported deaths in your area or the CDPH is not doing their job and reporting them.
