After This Brief warmup - what was your actual workout ?I'm a big believer in warmups & flexibility work before Hard intense Training
Bench press - Single reps up to a pre-planned top single, then 3x5reps@ 80% of that top single
IN, are you running a program like 5/3/1 or similar?(Or just doing your own programming)?
I add a few lbs. every workout to the top sets. When I stall out drop some weight off and start going back up.Same old same old.
Currently can bench 140kg for 10 smooth reps, no spot, how about you? Think my best with this weight was 13 reps, done 180kg for a single. Nothing overly impressive.
Matt claims to bench more weight for more reps and says form doesn't matter. I would say Big Ro is proof form does matter and it's not how much you lift but how you lift it that counts.
I don't disagree, but that's not why.Big Ro is more developed than Matt because he has better insertions / shape and does full blown gear cycles.
My guess is Big Ro isn't training towards maximum 1 rep Poundages If He was then likely he could bench heavier for 1 rep. Hopefully He will clarify - Either way He has a Damn fine Physique
Bhanky,How is your new job going?
Great I work from home 7am-4pm. I have a water view from my desk. I don't have to go anywhere or see anyone. I am right next to my kitchen. Working from home is really nice.
I have never focused on building up my one rep max on bench, I did that last year just to see if I could do it because 4 plates scared me and I did it nice and controlled without a spotter, all the way down to the chest and pressed straight up to lockout. I also did 160kg x 8 last year, off season.
Not sure 450mgs test and 200 tren e per week is that full blown:)
I hiked the Grand Canyon from the South Rim to the North Rim. It was about 21.5 miles and the last mile was almost straight up. One of the most difficult things I’ve ever done. If I ever do it again I will do it in the opposite direction.
Very cool.
